Lizzy continues to meet Darcy on her walks. The Colonel tells her Darcy prevented a friend from an ill-advised marriage, Lizzy only thinks of Jane and Bingley. She doesn't go to Rosings that evening.

Darcy proposes to Lizzy, she refuses.

Darcy writes to Lizzy to explain his conduct with Bingley and Wickham

Lizzy rereads the letter and is ashamed of her prejudiced attitude. Darcy and the Colonel leave Rosings.

Lizzy studies the letter and is unhappy. She prepares to leave for London with Maria Lucas.

Lizzy and Maria Lucas leave, and arrive at the Gardiner's.

Lizzy, Maria and Jane leave for Hertfordshire, where they are met by Lydia and Kitty.

Lizzy tells Jane of Darcy's love and his letter.

They decide to not dishonour Wickham.

Lydia is invited to Brighton, Lizzy advises Mr Bennet not to let her go. Lizzy meets Wickham. Lydia leaves for Brighton.

Mr Bennet's marriage explained; Lizzy's anxieties at his irresponsible behaviour explored. Lake District trip changed to Derbyshire. Gardiners and Lizzy arrive at Lambton, 5 miles from Pemberley, which they plan to visit.

Gardiners and Lizzy reach Pemberley, Darcy is there and is surprisingly civil.

Miss Darcy and Bingley visit the Gardiners.

Mrs Gardiner and Lizzy visit Pemberley.

Miss Bingley is spiteful.

Letters arrive from Jane, Lydia has run away with Wickham. Darcy arrives and hears the news. Gardiners and Lizzy leave to go to Longbourn.

No news of Lydia at Longbourn, Lizzy sees Lydia's letter. Mr Gardiner prepares to join Mr Bennet in London.

Mr Gardiner leaves for London, Collins sends a letter and Mr Bennet comes home.

Still no news of Lydia.

Mr Gardiner writes that Lydia and Wickham are found, but not yet married. Mr Bennet realises that Wickham accepting Lydia must have involved some money. Mrs Bennet ecstatic that one of her daughters is finally to be married.

Mr Bennet disapproves of Mr Gardiner's suggestions. Lizzy realises she loves Darcy! Lydia to visit Longbourn after her wedding.

Lydia and Wickham arrive. Lizzy discovers Darcy was at their wedding, and writes to Mrs Gardiner to find out more.

Long letter from Mrs Gardiner describing Darcy's role in Lydia's wedding. Lizzy regrets the impossibility of ever marrying Darcy and encounters Wickham.

Lydia and Wickham leave Longbourn for Newcastle. Bingley comes to Netherfield.

He visits Longbourn with Darcy.

Bingley and Darcy come to dinner.

Bingley proposes to Jane and she accepts.

Lady Catherine de Bourgh pays a surprise visit and tries to make Lizzy promise never to marry Darcy, Lizzy refuses to comply.

Collins writes to convey Lady Catherine de Bourgh's views, Mr Bennet is amused and shares this with Lizzy.

Lizzy finds herself alone with Darcy, she explains her changed feelings to him and they discuss their relationship.

Lizzy confesses her feelings to Jane who is astonished.

Mr Bennet gives Lizzy consent, but Mrs Bennet has to review her opinion of Darcy.

Letters exchanged, Lizzy looks forward to living at Pemberley.

Resume, all ends pulled together some time later.
