Today I will show you the eight steps in drawing an apple.BODY:1.   The first step is to gather all your supplies. Go to a foodstore and buy one large red apple ( you might feel uncomfortable with just buying one apple, so make sure to buy other items while your there or you’ll look strange), gather a graphite pencil of any size, some Prismacolor pencils with a blender, bristol paper, an eraser, and whiteout (optional).

You can get these art supplies from any craft store.2.   The second step, start with a light outline of your apple and make sure you draw the horizontal line for the table it sits on behind it.a. Make the outline as simple as possible, your going to have to shade it in.b.

Please do not forget drawing in the stem at this point, it is crucial.3.   The third step, you want the darkest tones to be laid down first. Look at your apple and figure out where this is located and use the appropriate color pencil shade.a. Usually this dark shading is at the bottom of the apple, opposite of where the light source is shining.

b. If a color is not dark enough, go over it with a darker color pencil of that color range.4.   The fourth step, lighter shades of the darkest tone should be put down next to it. Again, look to your apple and determine these shades.

a. You might want to in the future, look at your apple and determine the colors your going to use ahead of time.b. It’s best to test color pencil choices on a scrap paper beside each other to see if they are like colors.5.

The fifth step, you have to leave voids of color on your apple where your light source is shining, it gives the apple a shiny appearance.a. If you accidently do not leave any voidances, you can use the whitout as a backup.6.   The sixth step, use your blender to blend colors together and make the apple uniform in color.

Work on the background and table color, any color of your choosing.a. I suggest doing this from step one.b. Make sure you do not draw hard with blender, or it will either break or be wasted.

7.   The seventh step, color in your background and table with colors that contrast with the apple. If the apple is red, do not make a red background and/or table!a. Use the same concept of shadows and highlights as above.b.

If you have to, reference the background behind your apple and the table it sits on.8.   The eighth step, now for that pesky reflection on the table. You’ll want to draw a light half circle underneath your apple with your graphite pencil.

Have half of it colored darker than the other.a. Again, reference your apple continuously.b.

When your done, you should have a realistic apple.CONCLUSION:I.    Thus let me end by saying, by following these simple steps of drawing an apple you’ll eventually will retain the knowledge on how to draw an apple without having help. You’ll be looked upon as talented just by following these instructions.II.   In general, drawing successfully can seem like an unreachable task.

With constant practice anyone can achieve it.
