The 25th of November, 2011 is to be tattooed in all Moroccan memories and hearts as it was a quite significant day in Morocco's history. PIG, the Party of Justice and Development, came out winner of the harsh competition that was to oppose the Moroccan parties because it seemed to have made quite tempting promises to the Moroccan populace.

Its message was straightforward and obviously promising to the millions of citizens who have been hoping for change for numerous years and who couldn't wait anymore for a better tomorrow.Their situation wasn't obviously as giant as the Negroes situation, described in Martin Luther Kings Letter from Birmingham Jail, was. Nonetheless, it's undeniable that these Moroccan citizens suffered for many years from the penury of numerous basic rights. Hence, they read in the lines the PIG members wrote and heard in the speeches these same members made one only word: hope; hope for change and progress.

Inauspiciously, this hope has been smashed many times before when the winners of the previous elections didn't keep their promises.Today, l, as well as all the citizens of my country, call for an immediate change within our Moroccan society. Our beloved country suffers from a shortage in many important areas. Unluckily, poor people are mostly the ones paying the price for these deficiencies. Thus, it is only reasonable if not mandatory for us to ask for a change that will, not only take our country into a high place of progress and development, but also be the reason behind improving people's life as it will eradicate corruption and focus on other social issues.

Today, it became palpable for everyone that corruption has a negative impact on the various wheels of our country, which affects badly its progress. It is then compulsory to grasp the robber of corruption and estimate the difficulties of laying the bases of a policy against this scourge. For this purpose, one should not only focus on what kind of outcome may have resulted from this plague, but also inspect the causes which are the seeds behind the growth of this phenomenon. Here is a saying from Letter from Birmingham Jail that clearly agrees with this idea: "l am sure that none of you would want to rest content with the superficial kind of social analysis that deals merely with effects and does not grapple with underlying causes. " (Martin Luther King, 289/290). Numerous questions with regard to corruption may be asked: How people's integrity, if they actually own one, allows them to corrupt and then let people suffer from their outrageous conduct? Is it the hunger of luxury, the love of the easy and hasty profits or is it actually the immense pleasure which results from crushing one's competitors? In either case, one should wonder if these people are the only responsible for such acts or if our somehow nonchalant system is also to blame; the laxity of our legal system and the nature of our laws are definitely to be classified among the factors hat favor the spread of this evil and discredit any attempt to eradicate it.

Thus, in a context where impunity stands almost as a rule of our society, it becomes imperative to seek for remedies of global order to this illness. Since the PIG coalescent with the 'P, Statistical Party, will be running the next government, it is their duty to uproot this evil which may seem to only have an impact on the concerned person, the corrupt in other words, but that actually has a bigger outcome which may not appear to be obvious to everybody. Indeed, Martin Luther King clearly mentions it in Letter from Birmingham Jail when he says: "Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. (Martin Luther King, 289) Some would point out that change cannot possibly eradicate corruption as change itself results from corruption. Peculiar sentence, isn't it? Many people still believe that the elections are corrupted; these same elections are henceforth variable as the winners, according to the general public, didn't earn their new title because they were voted, but somehow pilfered it through corruption.

Why should people apply to the rules then when they know that these same rules were previously broken? That's mostly the doctrine that rules the thoughts of the corrupt people.Still, isn't it Just a pretence to excuse their said to be ghastly acts? First of all, a logical point to mention here is the change that already happens and therefore led to a huge progress. It is then conceivable that cheating may have characterized the previous elections. Nevertheless, the new constitution brought its share of new valuable laws to prevent such occurrences from happening again. Thus, it is undeniable that the PIG earned the first place, not because some kind of rigging happened in the elections, but because the party was simply voted by people.

It is then their duty to keep the promises they made to the voters by applying numerous new policies against this calamity from which our country suffers. Numerous changes are then to be applied in various areas. The party should focus more especially on the legal area as it is the main factor that either favors the propagation or the purging of this dreadful phenomenon. In other words, if the PIG works hardly enough to fight against this unfortunate bane, vigilance will take over the laxness that used to characterize our legal system.Hence, corruption will become impossible or at least harder in the other areas.

This adjustment will therefore improve the lives of numerous people as each one of the common people will have the same opportunities to show his or her abilities no matter his or her status or level of life. Based on what was explained above, it becomes clear that once the actual situation of Morocco starts to change, corruption would be directly removed, which obviously would improve many lives. As stated above, corruption is a stern social issue that obstructs the development of our country. However, the question to be asked is whether it is the only impediment that shackles the road towards this regress? Obviously not! Our dearly loved country suffers from so many other social snags to which immediate remedies should be found. These problems are obviously numerous, but the ones with regard to education, health and poverty remain the most solemn and therefore exigent ones. It is then the Pap's members' onus to come up with some effective solutions to the problems these areas face as it will obviously affect many lives.

First of all, education in Morocco suffers from numerous deficits, which makes the rate of illiteracy utterly high. Rich people of the society aren't the ones paying the price for such scarcities. Instead, it actually is the poor part of our general population who mainly suffers from this curse. As if having copious teething troubles with education wasn't enough, Morocco also suffers from various insufficiencies in the area of health. Again, poor people living in the small and minor cities and villages of Morocco are mostly the ones suffering from this problem. In fact, both the small rate of doctors and the small number of hospitals available in Morocco are unfairly divided between the different regions of our country; the big ties are generally the ones profiting from these resources while the rural areas are unluckily deprived of them.

Lastly, poverty is a really troublesome phenomenon that affects adversely our country. The most atrocious thing in this situation is, not only that the rate of poverty is already outrageously high, but also that this same poverty is the reason behind so many other plagues. In other words, poverty emphasizes the other issues that hinder the progress of Morocco; in addition to the two issues stated above, famine and crime are also two weighty scourges which result from poverty. That's why it is compulsory that the PIG along with the other parties that will be forming the new government work on new policies in the view of abolishing these appalling disasters.

For this purpose, this new government should work on building new closer schools to the small villages and provide the children with buses and other means of conveyance.More so, it should also focus on building more hospitals and sending more apt doctors to the rural areas to decrease the rate of death and maladies in these same areas. Finally, it should offer more work opportunities to the poor so they could improve their standard of living. These opportunities should be obviously equal between rich and poor; in other words, every single person should deserve the work he or she has based on his or her capacities, not according to the people he or she knows. It is then required from the government's members to apply this changes, without thinking about their personal interests, as they will undeniably improve people's life.

Jonathan Swift would definitely agree with this idea as he already pr©cited in A modest proposal: "l profess in the sincerity of my heart that I have not the least personal interest in endeavoring to promote this necessary work, avian no other motive than the public good of my country, by advancing our trade, providing for infants, relieving the poor, and giving some pleasure to the rich. Many people would argue that, as admirable and noble these goals are, they remain sumptuous and unrealistic as our country does not have the needed source of outcomes to attain all what was stated above. It becomes then impossible to achieve them. No one can deny in fact that our resources are ominously limited.

Nonetheless, it is essential to mention that the resources that our country actually owns aren't always wisely spent. In fact, many projects that may actually be quite remarkable, shouldn't have been our country leaders' first priority as they simply required huge budgets but still could have been avoidable.Instead, these budgets could have been spent on more important projects meant to improve people's lives such as the building of hospitals and schools. It is then the new government's duty to wisely manage the resources of our country and spend then on more vital projects. For instance, it could avoid spending the huge amount of money which is dedicated to ay the new TAG to build instead a new school in an abandoned region of Morocco.

As shown in the paragraphs above, Morocco is today in a critical situation. No one can deny that a huge progress has been witnessed over the years. Yet, our actual condition shows that numerous changes should be made in the view of improving people's lives. Thus, we call for the attention of the winners of the elections of 2011 as they will have the power to remedy to this saddening situation. The question to which the answer is still unknown is whether the winning parties will keep their promises and apply the changes the populace is hopping to see?
