The setting that the club is placed at can show this by providing a stable, secure and relaxed environment. Children of all backgrounds like racial, cultural and religious should be recognised and respected. D3) A professional who works with children is a social worker there job is to work with older clients, adoption, fostering work, and people that can not really look after them selves and need that little extra help.People think that social workers are only there to take your children away from the parents but there not they are there to help they only want what’s best for the parents ant the children they will only take children off there parents if the child is being abused in any way possible or if the family is not stable enough to look after the child other than that social workers know that it is best for the child to be with the parents.

Social workers are also there to give advice and practical support to families if needed. D4)The practitioner should understand the settings confidentiality policy witch says keeping information about the children and their families confidential is the most important thing to do when working with children. This is a need to do thing so you can keep you the child and their families safe. If you hear something about a child in your setting you keep it to yourself unless you know something more about the situation then you tell one of your colleagues or you talk to the parent. Never disclose information to any one other than the parents of the children.

The best way to keep information about children and their families confidential is either in your head or in a filing cabinet in a locked room or in a safe office. C1) Information should only be disclosed to other colleagues in the setting when you can see or think that a child is getting emotionally abused or if there is a change to a Childs home time collection. If a child is getting emotionally abused at home the signs you should look out for are low self esteem/ confidence, attention seeking and telling lies are the noticeable signs. When a Childs home time collection is changed then you need to tell your other colleagues so they are aware of this in case someone else that is not suppose to pick up the child tries to pick up a child or so the setting knows to make changes for that child like snacks and lunches.

A) It is important to keep the confidentiality about the children and their families safe because it is my professional responsibility and it helps you to build a trust between you and the child’s family. If the confidentiality of a child and their family is disclosed to any one other than the people that need to know then the child and the family’s welfare may be at stake depending on the situation you have to consider the child’s welfare at all times for their safety and the family’. …. according to tassoni “all children, you people and their families have a right to confidentiality. Observations and assessments are useful tools that most parents are happy for early year’s practitioners to carry out. ” D5)When preparing to work in a placement finding out information about the placement is essential because by contacting the placement you find out information like what time you should arrive at and what time finish, make sure it is on time or earlier if possible.

When ringing your placement make sure to ask what you should wear, who your supervisor is, what your expected duties are, what they may expect you to bring and the settings policies and rules. Your responsibilities in a placement are important for example your attendance should be excellent because this can show that you are committed to the setting and proves you can be reliable. You should be appropriately dressed at all times when on placement because all setting may have different dress codes it is always best to phone in advance and ask. Appropriate clothing to wear in placement would be no low cut tops.

no jeans, easy to wash clothing is always best because you will be doing many messy activities especially in a day nursery, nursery schools and playgroups and you will want the paint or anything else that you may get on your clothes to come of off when washing them. Comfortable shoes are always best when on your placement because you will be on your feet all day.Wearing heels or heavy shoes may not be good as you may hurt a child by accidently stepping on their hands on their feet. You should check with your placement if it would be ok to wear trainers as some setting may not allow this. Your appearance is essential when in your setting especially your hygiene you should always look clean and tidy because looking clean and tidy can show the parent of the children that are attending the setting that the setting is a clean environment..

. according to tassoni preventing the spread of infection is vital in all settings working with young children. This means that your hands nails and skin should be kept clean. If you have long hair you should consider tying it back.

This will not only help you to look tidy, it may also prevent you from getting head lice. it is always best to keep makeup and jewellery to a minimum or jewellery try not to wear it to your placement at all as it may get lost, broken or scratch a child especially if you are working in day nursery this is important as the placement may not take you seriously. Behaviour in the setting, it is important that you try to fit in with the staff of every setting that you are in. lways try to be thoughtful, courteous and patient to others in the settings. Time keeping is very important because it shows that you are dedicated to the course and the placement. It gives a good impression to the placement and college when you are on time.

It is very important that you are on time as this will affect you with all of your placements and also later on in your carer. If you can not attend your placement make sure to phone your placement first then ring your college. The rules and policies must be followed at all time.B1) When preparing to work in a placement for the first time first impressions are important because it shows your supervisor and the rest of the setting what kind of personality you may have. the setting can see when your making a good impression by the way you have presented yourself, talking to the other members of the setting, arriving on tome or earlier and most of all being prepared this will show the setting that you are showing respect and that you are reliable and that they could see that they could rely on you at all times.

first impressions are often the truest ask questions this will show that you are eager to learn, get involved, use initiative when in a childcare setting. if a child is on their own encourage them to play with the other children or make a group activity were the children can work together. Join in when children are singing and read stories it gives the children a scenes of security and confidence when adults join in. remember that you’re not just making a good impression on yourself your making a good impression on the college as well.

B2)When working in a childcare setting a positive attitude should be shown at all times this may include making sure all of the children join in with the activities. If working with a group of children and not the whole class all the children should have the chance to participate this can be done by having a few groups of about 4 to 5 children so that everyone in the class has a chance to have ago. This is meant for all ages. I should be responsible at all times when in my setting by turning up on time all the time, communicating well with the children, staff and the parents, follow all the placements policies and procedures.

Participating in a team is important because it brings everybody together so they can communicate about any problems, ask questions, discuss activities and inform the team of any changes that may be or have happened. it is important that you listen to your team about any feedback you may have to give, instructions you may have to give, advice and guidance you should always have a smile on your face when in your setting. D6) I have found that observing the needs of each individual child is often the most important.Once the needs and interests have been identified adaption's including equipment, extra help and provisions can be made to suit to that individual child’s needs. Children’s individual situations for example planned activities, were for example a child may perform differently in a change of environment or situation. This can be made better for a child if a activity is planned or changed to allow equal opportunity and fun for children of all needs.

i have found this to made as simple as different equipment and extra help. eed based adaption's for example, I currently help with handwriting and writing based activities for one child who finds handwriting to be made easier if someone writes it down for him first and helping him say spell the words out when reading so he can learn what a word says. On the other end of the scale there are children that advance quicker than others. These children can be given more challenging activities to allow fun based learning to the same level as other children of the same age group.

elf esteem, praise, egnoligement and rewards are all ways of promoting a different fun reward scheme based on a child’s likes and dislikes. | | A*) My own learning style is kinaesthetic learning. This type of learning style is when you would rather do things than sit threw a lecture from a tutor. Kinaesthetic learners are thought to be natural discovery learners.
