In the Charts referred to above, the five major perspectives in the field of psychology include Neuroscience Perspective, Cognitive perspective, Behavioral perspective, Humanistic perspective, and Psychodynamic perspective.

These five perspectives deal with issues ranging from Nature vs. Nurture, Conscious vs. Unconscious behavioral determinants, Observable behavior vs. nternal mental process, freewill vs. determinism and individual differences vs.

universal principles. These issues sum up the activity of the entire man and his behavior to life. The various subfields for each of the perspective above include but not limited to: Neuroscience Perspective Subfield: Behavioral Neuroscience- which examines the biological basis of behavior Cognitive Perspective Subfield: Cognitive Psychology-this deals with the study of higher mental process.Behavioral Perspective Subfield: Developmental psychology – It examines how people grow and change from The moment of conception through death Humanistic Perspective Subfield: Experimental Psychology- It deals with the study of the processes of sensing, perceiving, learning and thinking about the world.

Psychodynamic Perspective Subfield: Social Psychology- which deals with the study of how people’s thoughts , feelings and actions are affected by others.Participation1: The field of psychology is an interesting field of human endeavor in that it covers all areas of life. It has been broken down into pieces for proper appreciation and application. This is to further help psychology to understand the fundamentals in dealing with issues. The various perspectives or dimensions to it are to further demonstrate a deep understanding of the society and sphere of influence in which it operates. Participation 2:The application of psychology in the fields of medicine, sports, education, intelligence and other areas emphasizes the relevance of the dynamism psychology has to offer as it relates to human behavior in the society.

It is also used as a therapy to understand the behavior of people and usually lasts for some time. This therapy recovers an individual from a probably long ailment of depression. In sports, it is used to ginger sportsmen into doing what they believed they could never achieve and it works more than drugs. A highly motivated personality or sports man is one who is psyched up to succeed.
