Nowadays, teachers are using active boards, or smart boards. These minds of boards are highly advanced and have their own way to teach and share information with children. This is an example of how modern technology is changing our education system every day. Educational technology has many positive effects. For example, students can open or log on the internet to know what's happening in the real world, and keep up with sports or news. On the other hand, technology has its negative effects.
For example students can copy the answers to questions word by word. They are copying information instead of learning ideas and concepts. Teachers have changed the way in teaching, so did doctors, due to the increase of genealogical products. Medicine has benefited from the advance in technology. For example, surgery was once open, messy, and produced visible scars, but now a day it's very quick on clean . Let is unbelievable how technology has given people the ability to walk, while many years ago people with the same problem sat on wheelchairs.
Medicine has been greatly impacted by technology, but technology has its place in medicine. Technology can improve communication with a doctor. For example, a patient is busy to set an appointment with their doctor, can e-mail or call them if they have any concerns. The use of social networking sites has both positive and negative consequences. It is amazing how people could reconnect with their long-lost friend through a social website.
With the help of mobile technology, we are able to talk to friends or family members living far from us. The internet helps us or gives us the chance to learn new things. Social networking, also gives us the ability to find our childhood friends, relatives, etc. And important events in their life. On the other hand, social networking has its negative consequences.
With the use of internet, children are getting addicted o online games. They are not talking to people and their physical activities are becoming less.Children, five or ten years ago, used to hold a coloring book, while nowadays they are holding cell phones, I-pads, tablets, and etc.. Technology is like a coin which has both positive and negative sides.
We are the buyers of the technological products; we can choose when to use it or how to use it. If we use it in a good or positive way it will affect our lives positively, or the other way around. Technology should have positive impacts on the present and future generations.
