G. IP Telephony, CATV cameras and Wireless Access points).
* Provisions for MOCK Fiber cable intake shall be considered, as per MOCK dieback, from the nearest MOCK man-hole located from the nearest service area. 6. 4.Standards CIT Design guidelines shall be based on the following standards: * Generic Telecommunications Cabling for Customer Premises (Anamosa-568-C. O) * Commercial Building Telecommunications Cabling Standard (ANSI/TlA-568-C. 1) * Balanced Twisted-pair Telecommunications Cabling And Components Standard(ANSI/ TIA-568-C.
2) * optical Fiber cabling components standard (ANSI/TlA-568-C. 3) * Commercial Building Standard for Telecommunications Pathways and Spaces (TIA-569-A) * Residential Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard (ANSI/TIA-570-B) * Administration Standard for Commercial Telecommunications Bonding Requirements for Telecommunications (ANSI-J-SST-607-A) * Customer- Owned Outside Plant Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard (ANSI/TlA-758-A) * Building Automation Systems Cabling Standard for Commercial Buildings (ANSI/TIA/ Ella-862) * Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard for Data Centers (ANSI/ TIA-942) * Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard for Industrial Premises (ANSI/TlA-1005) * Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard for Healthcare Facility (ANSI,TIA-1179-2010) 6. 5.Scope Of Services * Converged Network Infrastructure * Wi-If Coverage Main Computer Room * IP Telephony System * Physical Security System (CATV and Access Control) * Queuing Management System * Nurse Call System * Baby Tag System * Duress Alarm System Generally, the main requirements of the converged solution shall consider; ; Open architecture - support of any convergence application ; Network infrastructure capacity ; Security of application services ; Application traffic detection / classification ; End-system detection / classification ; Network access control ; Enforceable quality of service (So) ; Manageability Figure 1 - Healthcare Facility Converged Network Overview . 6. Structured Cabling The typical data outlet shall consist of a single-gang I-J style Box XX mm in the wall equipped with two RAJA-45 standard compliant network outlets or two RAJA-45 standard compliant outlets in floor boxes.
Each outlet consists of two (2) four-pair data Category AAA cable (or greater) installed from the outlet up to the Telecommunication Closet (ETC) located in different floors which will be connected via redundant Fiber to the Main Computer Room. 6. 7. Wi-If Coverage Wi-If coverage shall give staff to connect to their Medical applications from various devices, including support Nurse Call system. . 8.
Main Computer Room The Main Computer Room shall work as the heart of all systems and shall host all IT Implementation Best Practices ANSI/TlA-942 including highly efficient cooling, Pups, Security, leakage detections and other services. 6. 9. Telephony System To reduce cost and increase efficiency, Voice over Internet Protocol (Poi) technology shall be adopted where voice signals are digitized and transmitted over the network. Enabled by Internet technology, much of the telecommunications industry is headed towards the total integration of data, voice and video on a single packet-based infrastructure. This integrated architecture makes the most efficient use of communication lines and premises-based equipment.
Poi shall offer many advantages, including instant messaging, call forwarding, conversation encryption and recording. Integrated voice gateway shall be used to give overall voice services required for the showroom. 6. 10. Physical Security Systems Physical security can be defined as that part of security designed to protect assets; to mitigate the unauthorized access to equipment, facilities, material, and documents; and to reasonably safeguard them against espionage, sabotage, damage, theft, and ass. Surveillance, access control and life safety alarm systems are critical parts of the Hospital facility where some areas shall require high level security measures to limit access to authorized users only.
6. 11 .Audio Visual System - Meeting Room The objective in design of Audio Visual facilities is to provide high quality but simple to use Audio Visual equipment that can be set up ready for use with minimal input from the operator's technical staff. The audio visual systems shall be designed to accommodate the following: * Power point or other PC based presentation DVD playback from PC drive * Audio reproduction from PC based presentations * Video Conference unit * Audio conference / conference call facility 6.
12. Quality of Service - So Network Operators will police the traffic on the network using Quality of Service techniques to determine the priority of the traffic. This will ensure that traffic types on the network are correctly priorities according to the traffic characteristics including tolerances for Latency, Jitter and Packet Loss. Traffic shapers will then be used to guarantee the traffic delivery through the network to the appropriate level. This is required so that services such as Building Systems, Poi and IP CATV with high network requirements will operate correctly throughout the Building.
All the services that will be running through the converged network shall be identified and network design will take into consideration network procrastination of critical services. 6. 13. Queuing System (Wireless) time and avoiding poor service. It also shall provide customers with a fair and organized way to wait for assistance.
The functions within the system will include provision of priority service and configuration of different counters to serve different arrives. 6. 14. Nurse Call System The Nurse Call system will be networked / connected together for functionality such as communicating with the Nurse. The system allows the patient to speak directly to the staffer or simply beep or buzz at the station, requiring a staffer to actually visit the patient's room to determine the patient's needs.
Figure 2 - Nurse Call System Overview 6. 15. Baby Tag System The Baby tag system gives an alert to indicate when a baby is moved out of a ward without permission of the staff.Door strips that protect the ward detect signals from he Tag's worn either on the Baby's wrist or ankle, and trigger a visual and audible alarm when approached. This system shall be controlled from a central management and monitoring station and have interfacing to external systems to automatically lock doors or turn on cameras can be provided. Figure 3 - Baby Tag on the leg 6.
16. Duress Alarm System A duress alarm system shall be installed in each Handicap toilets and other strategic locations where the Staff is alerted. Each location shall have a clearly identifiable 'mushroom' red alarm buttons (labeled - Duress Alarm) strategically placed within the building.
