Significance of the Study This study is significant to the following: To Filipinos, who fondly watch and support the variety game show that entertains them. To Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) who are somehow helping them cope with the melancholic feeling of being away from their home and their family. To Filipinos, who became largely dependent and relying to the game shows and must be thinking of ways on how they will be uplifting and stabilizing their lives.To beneficiaries and deprived Filipinos, who are helped and assisted out by the segments of the show. To future researchers, who will benefit and continue to improve and develop this study.
Scope and Limitation of the Study This study is limited and mainly focused on the effects of watching Philippine variety game shows to Filipino values on the view of 2nd year Accountancy students. It does not include the competition and rivalry running among the highest rating primetime or noontime variety shows as well as the different issues and controversies pertaining to the shows.
