How would you value life? Life should be valued by experience and what you truly love to do. People should take chances for what they want in life, instead of fear of failure, and follow their dreams and goals in life. People have to take chances for what they want in life nothing is ever free you have to work for what you want. For instance when Steve Jobs states “Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life”.He is showing that we are going to die either way so we should at least die doing what we love or at least take a chance to do that.
He is also announcing that we should not die with any regrets in life. Then William Shakespeare divulge in his Soliloquy “But that the dread of something after death. No traveler returns, puzzles the will, And makes us rather bear those ills we have than fly to others that we know not of? ”. This is showing how we fear the unknown and how we prefer to stay in the known then take a chance to explore.People should over all take more chances because you are going to die at the end no matter what lifestyle you choice.
At the end people should take most of the chances they get in the day and make the most out of it. In addition to taking chances there should be no reason why you should not follow your dreams and goals in life. Like how Steve Jobs states in his commencement speech “You’ve got to find what you love… And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.” This is showing how people should strive for their dreams and not stop until they reach them.
To also never settle for anything less than what their goals are. Chris Jones expound how nothing can hold you back from what you love and want in life “ I know it is coming, and i do not fear it, because there is nothing on the other side of death to fear, he writes in a journal entry titled ‘ Go Gently into That Good Night’ “ This showing how we should not fear the unknown and attack it with your head up and no regrets.Overall one can say that nothing should be able to hold you from following your dreams and goals. Furthermore, you should not be scared to fail because without failure there is no successes. Steve Jobs then remarks in his speech “I dropped out of Reed College after the first 6 months… I was lucky I found what i loved to do early in life.
Woz and I started apple in my parents garage when i was 20. We worked hard, and in 10 years Apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage into a $2 billion company with over 4000 employees”.This is showing that no matter how many times you fail or how long it takes just getting the experiences from it will help you succeed next time. Shakespeare emphasizes that “To die, to sleep perchance to dream: ay, there’s the problem, for in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal life”.
Which is saying that to dream is good but once you're dead and you dream what is it about. Which comes together has death representing failure and dreams as successe.When you fail what is really going on and when you succeed you only think about succeeding again in life. At last failure can bring strength to succeed the next chances you take or receive in life.
On the other hand people may say that your dreams, goals, and experiences must be realistic not to try anything unrealistic. Which is not true like where Steve Jobs states “Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish”. He is saying to never be satisfied and be willing to keep trying the things people say cannot happen.For example if Steve Jobs would stay realistic he probably would have ever invented Apple.
Eventually, you just have to have a open mind to your body and minds abilities. In the end, people should value their life by all the experiences they been through and the knowledge they get from their failures. They should just keep an open mind, always look at the bright side from their failures, always take chances, and keep their goals and hopes of life in mind. Finally, just always take chances because you never know what experiences you will get from that adventure.
