Risk Identification I have made a list of all areas that might create project delays or failures with their possible outcomes (see list below). The key risks are bolded below and appear in the Risk Management Analysis Table in section “b. 1) Delay or denial of building permits – this could cause the project to stop or require re-approvals of building and digging plans 2) Delay in utility companies coming out and marking water and power lines – this could cause a delay in setting down official plans as to layouts 3) Delay or non-availability of playground equipment being delivered – this could delay the completion of final project 4) Delay or non-availability of picnic tables delivered – this could delay the completion of the final project 5) Delay or non-availability of grill being delivered – this could delay the completion of the final project 6) Delay in design of playground layout – this could delay the start of the project 7) Delay in design of the picnic area – this could delay the start of the project 8) Delay of plumber installing fountain– this could delay the completion of the final project 9) Delay of plumber installing faucet – this could delay the completion of the final project 10) Weather delays - this could delay the installation days of the final project b. Risk Assessment The following is an assessment of these risks in terms of the probability of project occurrence and the negative cost impact of project outcomes.
Risk analysis attempts to quantify the severity of the impact of an identified risk event, sometimes the probability, and the sensitivity to change as well. Risk Scoring Matrix Defined Conditions for Risk Management Analysis| Project Objective| Relative or Numerical Scales| Very Low - 1| Low – 2| Moderate – 3| High - 4| Very High – 5| Cost| Insignificant cost increase| Less than 10% cost increase| 10-25% cost increase| 25-45% cost increase| More than 45% cost increase| Time| Insignificant time increase| Less than 5% time increase| 5-10% time increase| 10-20% time increase| More than 20% time increase| Scope| Scope decrease barely noticeable| Minor areas of scope changed| Major areas of scope changed| Scope changes not acceptable to HOA| Project no longer useful| Quality| Quality decrease barely noticeable| Less than 5% quality decrease| 5-10% quality decrease| 10-15% quality decrease| More than 15% quality decrease| RISK EVALUATION| Risk| Probability| Cost| Schedule| Scope | Quality| Risk Score| | | | | | | | Delay or denial of building permits | 90%| 2| 3| 1| 4| 9. 0| Weather delays | 60%| 1| 2| 5| 1| 5. 4| Delay in utility companies coming out and marking water and power lines | 30%| 1| 4| 1| 3| 2. 7| Delay or non-availability of playground equipment being delivered | 30%| 2| 3| 1| 2| 2. | Delay or non-availability of picnic tables delivered| 30%| 2| 2| 1| 2| 2.

Risk Response Matrix|Risk Event| Response*| Contingency Plan| Trigger | Person Responsible| Delay or denial of building permits | Reduce| Redo permits| Permits denied| Teresa Dionne| Weather delays | Accept| Redo schedule | Weather| Teresa Dionne| Delay in utility companies coming out and marking water and power lines | Reduce| Redo schedule | Companies delayed| Teresa Dionne| Delay or non-availability of playground equipment being delivered | Reduce| Negotiate terms with vendor| Equipment delayed| Heather True| Delay or non-availability of picnic tables delivered| Reduce| Negotiate terms with vendor| Equipment delayed| Heather True| Delay or non-availability of grill being delivered| Reduce| Negotiate terms with vendor| Equipment delayed| Heather True| Delay in design of playground layout | Reduce| Redo schedule | Delay in utility companies marking property| Cathy Newman| Delay in design of the picnic area | Reduce| Redo schedule | Delay in utility companies marking property| Cathy Newman| Delay of plumber installing fountain| Reduce| Redo schedule | Delay in utility companies marking property| Cathy Newman| Delay of plumber installing faucet | Reduce| Redo schedule | Delay in utility companies marking property| Cathy Newman| RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PLAN Final Time and Cost The above screenshot shows the cost of the time of those performing the project. The actual costs of the playground equipment and swing sets are $32,350. 00. The 4 picnic tables, outdoor grill and 2 trash cans cost $12,525. 00.
The plumber installing water fountain and faucet came to $8,320. 00 due to running the lines further into the property. Total costs = $75,866. 15. Final Time = 156 days out of 365 days from a year.
