Christian Worldview 101 has enlightened me and allowed me to focus what I have read, viewed, and learned about Jesus’ life.
In the following piece I will be reviewing the following topics and how they coincide with my own life and experiences. The topics are as follow: Jesus’ Teachings, Miracles, and His Death and Resurrection. I have chosen these particular topics because I can relate to them in some spectrum of my life to the present day as well as the fact that I specifically admire what these topics entail. In Jesus Teachings (Matthew 5:9, NKJV), “Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.
” I have learned a lot from this passage alone and recently through this course I have been refreshed for my calling in life.I have come to the terms that the way I talk to God is how He communicates to me from his heart onto mine. In (Matthew 7:14, NKJV), “Because narrow is the gate and different is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” This passage has taught me to choose the road less traveled, the road with harder paths in order to lead me to my Lord. It is easier to choose a shorter path or one without much meaning, but much harder to spread the good news and exhale once I have reached paradise.
Not needing or wanting recognition for the goodness one does is walking with our Father. He has done so much for us and has asked only for us to follow him for the purpose of our own salvation. Who would make such a sacrifice except for someone who is the truth? The miracles He performed were not for our amazement, but for our doubt. He used His powers for the good of the people and their results for His Father.
As Jesus knew Lazarus was asleep and His disciples thought it meant literally, He knew his miracle would negate disbelief. People feared the unknown and this brought on those with power to abuse their power, but Jesus walked into His destiny for His children.Throughout this course I not only have come to terms with my next point, but have mentioned it in my discussion posts. Jesus knew the details of His demise, and unselfishly sacrificed Himself under His own accord. I can only begin to imagine before my eyes shut themselves from picturing His pain.
A midst all of this, He managed to have a ceremonial Passover meal to remember Him by.As if thus far His doings were not suffice! Among them He broke bread as His traitor shared in the last supper. It was as He had already forgiven Judas for the great sin he had not yet committed. As Jesus was seized in the darkness among His apostles was missing one, Judas.
As it reads in (Luke: 48, NKJV), “But Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?” Jesus still then performed His healing among sinners; this teaches us as a people to turn the other cheek!I have been practicing some of Jesus’ Teachings before I could understand them in their entirety. It is my common nature as an individual to make peace for the betterment of all. My major at GCU has a prolonged purpose; I must earn my teaching degree in order to lead a “school” of people into righteousness! I at first saw no path, then a narrow path that took me into self doubt and therefore prolonging my ultimate decision to return to school for a bigger purpose.Through Jesus’ miracles, I too am gracious to my Father for I am still here where I never thought I would be.
I ran into an old friend when I first began my career with helping youth with disabilities, and I was shocked that he was taken back by what I was actually doing with my life now. After dancing on the line between sin and danger, I was done with being lost for I had unknowingly been found! I am now a crisis counselor; I will become a teacher, and ultimately a leader.I have not yet traveled all over the world, but have been to many places in my own world before discovering the way of truth in Jesus Christ. I had at one point chosen a path that was heading towards a written statistic. However, what I have learned in the darkness has helped me teach others how great it is in the light of the Lord.
My personal experiences have prepared me in an advantageous manner. In which I use to relate, connect, and convert others into walking into the narrow gate, and toward the more difficult but righteous way to life. There are many people nowadays that label our society and youth as the fallen; I disguise my counseling to our youth by placing a seed for the hopes of growing a miracle. Society would learn and change a lot of outcomes in our present lives, if they let God into their lives.
If that alone is what one does to follow the teachings of God, it would make a dent into the world of disbelief as we know it today. In conclusion, I have learned a lot about my own worldview in reading, viewing, and learning, about the Christian Worldview. I have examined, re-energized, and paved my path in following our Father through reading his word and spreading His news.In learning more about Jesus’ life and biblical principles, I have defined how I have and will continue to apply His teachings into my own life. His miracles, have given me insight as to how I can plant a seed in hopes of growing a better society one student at a time. Reflecting upon Jesus’ life, which is God in His physical form, has helped me understand the Holy Spirit as one person.
This, a miracle on its own is without doubt my guide to salvation and my golden ticket to Paradise.
