Descartes’ explanation on distinguishing false from truth forms a basic philosophical identity in his contemporary life. To him, he has the ability of distinguishing the truth from the exact force in which he can then rely on since every thought comes from a divine god/supreme being who cannot deceive him. Accordingly, this meditation philosophy was a benchmark method for use in the scientific epistemology. To Descartes’, skepticism was highly fundamental and everything was directed to horror of skepticism.According to him, the broad universe was under the creation of God with his intention for the human beings in it to adequately know it as long as such human beings used the right methodologies in search of knowledge.
He propagated that, the human mind was directed by external rules, which were absolute and came from the God. To Descartes, the right method of defining scientific methodology was through deduction, which would then involve an appropriate application of one’s reason to the ideas underlying the subject matter.Accordingly, accepting the truth concept of an episode was unphilosophical if the correct and undoubted evidence of the correct truth was unknown. This was aimed at avoiding the precipitation of invaluable conclusions. Either, whatever judgment about a thing should have partial revelation to what the mind promulgates which is a basic idea of avoiding fatal misconceptions in such judgments. Either, what would be defined as truth should therefore be undoubted by the discourse of the mind.
(Stephen, John, Scotton, 2000)Accordingly, he believed in intuitive apprehension which was the system of developing clarity as well as the distinctive of describing the relation between simple natural phenomena. The meditation process was the basic rule of formulating an undoubted knowledge where the truth of ideas were in full clarity since this was what came from a divine God and who could however not deceive. Any idea whether true or even false followed an attentive mind inception and which the same mind was controlled by God. All the intentions of the minds meditation process were observed and regulated by a supreme being.Either, the essence of distinctness was to bring a fair relationship between the different ideas that came in mind as well as he external objects, so that the truth or the falsehood of such relationship/ideas was rightly distinguishable. According to Descartes’, meditation was a basic prove of God’s existence and that whatever was brought by meditation was a concrete dictate of the truth or falsehood allied to this God.
The discourse of meditation was the most authentic method of refuting the essence of skepticism which caused people to doubt ideas.Accordingly, since the world was unskeptic of a divine God, then every impulse knowledge and ideas developed through meditation were the result of God’s intention and that were not doubtable of their standards . (Stephen, John, Scotton, 2000) According to him, God was the eminent being that existed in the inner soul of the human beings. Through meditation process, human soul was answering the calls and demand of what existed in their souls. The belief in truth occupied the first place in the meditation process.
However, the process of doubt was important in even arriving at many beliefs whose truth would be then undoubted. He did not intend in doubting the many judgments that occupied his mind but he was implied at underlying any foundations of personal views that came across his mind because what existed in mind as either false or true was a concern to keep astray the will of God. Summarily therefore, the doubting process of every idea that comes across the mind and relating it to the rule and dictate of a supreme god was ideally important creating an undoubted knowledge.
