These are the most obvious aspects of conflict that people may face in their everyday life. War is the major part of conflict between nations, countries and people.
War can be caused by many reasons; however ignorance is the most significant ground. For example in Afghanistan, about four decades ago a group of people without education and knowledge made troops to fight against Russian who invited Afghanistan. The idea of fighting with them and get them out from their land was the right decision but the way they took the action was wrong.Then when the Russian left Afghanistan, the Mojahedin took power and since then the civil war began which costed million people’s lives.
In Afghanistan there are four ethnic groups and they are against each other. During fighting with Russian, they divided into four groups and became enemy of one another. After they took power the leader of each group wanted to be the leader of the country. They were uneducated and didn’t have the knowledge to manage the country that involved violence to certain extent with people being killed.
For instance through explosions many young men were killed, children were killed or lost their legs and arms that became disable and millions of people were displaced. It is clear that these groups were absolutely ignorance. Religion is another aspect of conflict that is a complex issue. Most of time conflict is generated by ignorant people. For example, Islam has own rule and principle they the followers must follow the rule what exactly that is. However many people say that they are Muslim but they interpret the rule whatever they like especially the leaders.
This can bring inflexibility and intolerance between people and leaders. An example of religious conflict is the situation of Iran in these days. The government forces people to be religious, however Islam doesn’t say that people’s faith should be kept forcedly. But Islam says that being a Muslim is optional and if individuals follow the rule of Islam that is good for them.
For example drinking alcohol is forbidden because it harms body. Consequently, this disagreement between people and government has a negative effect on people’s lives.Furthermore, the conflict links people to experience other forms of conflict. One of those is domestic violence.
For instance in Iran a young girl wants to wear a stylish cloth, or don’t wear scarf or has a boyfriend. But her parents don’t allow her because it is not acceptable in the society as the society is religious, and therefore they force their daughter to be traditional. Also many people are depressed because they don’t have freedom and they show their angriness within their families or in the society.This is all because of those ignorant people who are in charge and also don’t have the knowledge to manage the country and operate Islam in an appropriate and effective way therefore reduce the religion disagreements. Nevertheless, racism is also considered as a cause of conflict that most of time produced by ignorance. The relationship between racism and conflict can be seen anywhere in the world.
It can be internal or external conflicts. External conflict is shown when people discriminate others by their skin colour, ethnic, religion and culture and showing their dislikes by fighting or disrespecting them.Internal conflict, may individuals don’t show their feeling but harm people latently. For example black people or having a specific religion (Muslim women with hejab) might not being employed. Thus they may be psychologically or emotionally damaged and may also feel apart from others in the society.
Other example of racism and discrimination can be seen in ‘The Rugmaker of Mazar-E-Sharif, as Najaf said, ‘if somebody from another place says, ‘All Hazara are donkeys! ’, sometimes inside me gets angry’.This is shown that racism and discrimination create conflict by making people angry and disappointment. This also demonstrates the ignorance of people. If they were not ignorant, they would know that all human beings are the same pattern and the value of people should not be based on their skin colour, religion, culture or even wealth. Therefore all people should being respected regardless of their characteristics. In conclusion, conflict will always be generated by ignorance in many different ways.
Ignorance can be seen as the cause of many types of conflict that affect innocence people’s lives.Conflict can be national or international which is resulting of ignorance that can be widespread and lasting for a long period of time. Furthermore, disagreement in religion is common between people. Although some people are not well-known about religion or the way they act create conflicts. Racism is another universal conflict that some ignorant people think they are better than others and earth is created only for them. Overall, ignorance may be linked to many types of conflicts that mostly affect people’s lives in a negative way.
