INTERMEDIATE SECURE A. This program serves adjudicated delinquent males ages 12-18 including chronic property offenders, impulsive youth with patterns of absconding, and those who have failed in less secure or other residential programs.

The program is highly structured and incorporates the principles of the Balanced and Restorative Justice Model as well as the Normative Community. The therapeutic milieu includes individualized treatment as well as services focused on social, emotional and behavioral well being. This program incorporates strength-based treatment planning and a four tiered behavior modification level system to provide the necessary structure and accountability for all behaviors. X. OPEN RESIDENTIAL A. This program serves delinquent or dependent males ages 12-18 in need of non-secure residential treatment services.

They typically have behavioral disorders and challenges that have impeded their success in alternative community-based interventions, such as intensive supervision, outpatient services, group/foster homes and partial programs. It is an alternative for youth being considered for more restrictive secure settings but who do not meet the criteria because they are not habitual delinquent offenders or are not involved in the juvenile justice system (dependent youth). This program offers structured, specialized treatment and allows for a continuum of care if a more restrictive setting becomes necessary. CONCLUSION My conclusion on this subject is that I think this is the best place to put your child if they are have problems getting in trouble with the laws and the juvenile system has done everything possible to help them out and they just don’t want to work with the system.
