I think their should be no problem for a student using this device I think once and student is show how to use it, it should be easy to use.I think that the magnification software will help in the classroom by having to student to be able to read text through text books and the teacher can print out what they will write on the board doing class so the person who is using the magnification software can follow along doing the lecture.
The next thing I will talk about is the Electronic Braille note-taker which is a device with numerous functionalities used to input, store, and output text either in Braille or print. The newest devices store various types of files using internal drives or memory cards.They also have internet capabilities. I think that problem with this could be that using it for student may be hard at first it they are not use to using electronic devices.
I think that this will help in the classroom by just making easier for the student to talk notes and they can also access the internet easier and by themselves it may help them stay more on point with what is going on and get it notes done more easier and quicker so that they can follow along with the class more easier and stay on takes more.The next thing I will talk about is a device that will help someone with hearing problems which is an amplification systems the help to improve clarity and increase the volume of when spoken word is given, examples of these devices are hearing aids. I think that the challenge with this could be that it may not work for everyone depending on their level of hearing loss. I think that it may be hard for someone at first it they have a little hearing to hear sound in their ear that is clear is may take a little while to get used to.
I may be weird and hearing of voice may be hard concentrate on one voice at a time so that they can remain focus. I think that having the hearing aid will help a student learn better and be able to follow the lesson more since they can hear what the teacher is staying and can follow the class. Another device for people with hearing loss is Sound Field System - This is a wireless system of two parts: the teacher’s wireless microphone and the speakers that are placed in different places around the classroom. The microphone transmits the voice of the teacher to the speakers, which amplify the sound.
I think that they challenge with this is who much it may cost to get a system like this to put into a classroom. I think that a child will have no problem with this and in the classroom it can make it easier for the child to learn and for the teacher to teach. In conclusion, I would like to say development of assistive technology is ongoing and expanding everyday. As computers get more powerful, assistive technology also increases in capacity and potential, driven by the advancement of microprocessor-based technology.As computer components become smaller in size this will contribute to the assistive technology that is more light weight, cheaper and portable.
