The real life video game. I had never held an aircrafts gun before in my entire life; I had no clue that my sub-par call of duty skills would ever play a part in my life. People have always told me that in real life guns are totally different than in Call of Duty and I would never be able to do it because it wasn't realistic, not that I cared what they said. They were about to be proven wrong.
... Kind..
.. Not really..
. Me, a couple of my friends, and my cousin had all traveled to Wisconsin to go to the Wisconsin dells, but before we went we had to o some work at a farm that my friends parent's owned, not that we really did any work. The farm was about an acre of flat land. We spend most of our time in the middle of the area next to a large oak tree. To our left there was a large white barn that hadn't been touched in years and had chipped paint and was rotting away.
To our right there was a house that my friend's parent's rented out and acted as a sort of landlord and Just improved the place. In front of us was a large harvested cornfield and behind us was the road that we came in on. My friends had both brought their rigors guns, and when we weren't doing anything we shot them at things, cans targets, squirrels, and etcetera.Eventually my cousin had the great idea to use my shoulder as a mount, so he put the gun on my shoulder and shot, little did he know that the barrel wasn't over the top of my shoulder but Just pressed against it, he couldn't tell because the sights were higher up than the barrel.
He then shot and hit me point blank in the shoulder, leaving a huge welt on my shoulder. It stung for about 10 minutes but it wasn't a huge deal. Even though I wasn't mad about it I knew hat I had to get my revenge, but I had to wait for the right time.I waited, and waited, finally 3 hours later, I had my chance.
My cousin had moved about 200 yards away and was across a large field next to the barn. I ran over, picked up the gun and began to aim. I then realized that I couldn't see anything because the sun was getting into my eyes. I then moved back into the shade of the large oak tree behind me, and began to aim again. As I aimed down the sights, I felt the wind blowing strong behind me and waited for it to stop, so that the bullet wouldn't get thrown off.
I then channeled my inner call of duty, as every great shooter should. Finally the wind died down, time seemed to slow as I pulled the trigger. I pulled down on the trigger and the bullet shot out, after about five feet I lost track of the bullet. I put the gun down in disappointment; such a good chance to exact my revenge, wasted. Although I had never thought I would hit him because it was my first time trying to hit a moving target and he was quite far away.
I was sure, even before I shot, that the wind would take the bullet or I would've been a bit off on my aim and he bullet would miss.I then heard a yelp from behind me. I turned around and realized I had hit him right in the back of the neck. It truly was a perfect shot.
And thus this, of course, proves that my sub-par call of duty skills created this amazing shot. Turns out this shot was actually a hard shot to make my friends and my cousin again because if I missed it wouldn't have been because of skill, Just dumb luck. So at this time I retired my aircrafts career and I have never missed a shot taken at a person to this day.
