The story is about Tong Zhenbao and his attitude towards women as well as life in general. Although, he was born in a poor family, he made a great effort to become successful.

As an upper-level manager in a foreign textile company Zhenbao is a successful member of the higher middle class. When he met Jiaorui, he had an unethical love with her. However, when Jiaorui divorced with her husband and wanted to marry with Zhenbao, he rejected her. Then, Zhenbao married with Yanli.
