The book of Psalms purpose was used to directly manifest the spoken word, to help us understand God's character through praise, complaint and an utterance of God's people that allows the reader to be willing to yield and surrender to God, supply the reader with the necessary things to come into contact with God through a movement of God, horizontally of others through their daily experiences, it encourages others to remain confident in God and his faithfulness through the words used by others when a persons experience in life doesn't give them support in faith, it declares the quality of God's rule on earth through David and the righteous being blessed and judgment of the wicked, it provides a song of praise and a guide of prayer and private worship, and allows believers to receive pleasure and satisfaction in God.
Psalms is divided into five books, and each book tells us different things we need to do in live for God. Book one informs us on how God blesses us, and whenever we fail, he can redeem us. Book two informs us how the nation was in ruin and how is was regained, because we can't handle our own problems, we have to run to God for help. Book three informs us that we need to continue to praise God and he is worthy of our complete devotion. Book four informs us to make known that we have full trust in God as our protector. Book five informs us to admit that God exist and that he has the power to deliver us.
The book of Proverbs, can be known as a book of wisdom, Just like the books of Job,Ecclesiastic, Song of Solomon and some parts of the book of Psalms. When I look at the book of Proverbs, I would say that the wisdom in this book can be compared with foolishness as well, because people was lacking in wisdom and was not willing to learn. Merrill (2008) states that wisdom was made to be something that was worth an effort for a person to try to attain. Proverb wisdom was mostly from father to son or mother to son.
It was mentioned in the text that it was a female figure, that is the first of the creation of God because when wisdom was speaking, the woman was peaking. Now when I looked at both books I found that there were many comparisons, as well as many contrast with each other. One fact is that both these books are collections that had been written by a number of authors, which makes up parts of the Old Testament. They both give us the inner nature of God's character. Psalms gives us a brief view into a person's heart when they follow and look for God for themselves in their lives, and it is our internal being. Proverbs gives us principles Tanat we snouts level Day, out Proves snows no emotion.
In Psalms tender Is a adhering of many different sacred poems and songs, most of them are prayers sent up to God. Psalms also reveals where the writers heart and how much he is in need of God. The Psalms proceed directly from God, and the Proverbs are governed by counsel. The Psalms are under the command of God, while the Proverbs operated off of human opinion. The Psalms are mere prayers, while the Proverbs are considered sayings. Yet they both offer us a fair return in life.
In conclusion we can now see that this wisdom of literature was a depth of greatness, the capacity for learning and understanding, and for wisdom, but cause of the standards of society today, times may seem to be not cultured, but these people of faith gave heed to God's counsel (2 Nephew 9:29). One would also be able to conclude that the children in Israel have in there grasp wisdom. They knew the Law would avail to them nothing at all, but they abide by the Law that was appointed toward them Cohn 6).In all the literature that I have read on wisdom, Psalms and Proverbs, intentions are to give the readers and the listeners of the great power of God and his Manifestation that is planted in us. They both can teach us what the do's and don't are of us living righteous and unrighteous, because Jesus already taught us how we should have a life that is more abundant.
