Curriculum vitae Introduction! Nowadays, computer games is already known to people especially to teenagers. Some say that it helps them when they are bored and others would say that it gives them Joy and addiction. Computer games are defined as any of various games, recorded on cassette or disc for use in a home computer, that are played by response to the graphics on the screen.Computer games have bad and good effects to people. We are focusing on the good and bad effects on the health of the students and also on the people around us/them.
Although a great deal of media attention has been given to the negative effects of playing video games, relatively less attention has been paid to the positive effects of engaging in this activity. Video games in health care provide ample examples of innovative ways to use existing commercial games for health improvement or surgical training.Tailor-made games help patients be more adherent to treatment segments and train doctors how to manage patients in different clinical situations. In this review, examples in the scientific literature of commercially available and tailor- made games used for education and training with patients and medical students and doctors are summarized.
There sis history of using video games with patients from the early days of gaming in the sass, and this has evolved into a focus on making tailor-made games for different disease groups, which have been evaluated in scientific trials more recently.Commercial video games have been of interest guarding their impact on surgical skill. More recently, some basic computer games have been developed and evaluated that train doctors in clinical skills. The studies presented in this article represent a body of work outlining positive effects of playing video games in the area of health care.
A. Limitations of the study There are lots of bad effects a computer games can give us. Computer addiction can have a variety of negative effects on a person. The most immediate are social. The user withdraws from friends and family as he spends more and more time on the computer.Relationships begin to wither as the user stops attending social gatherings, skips meetings with friends and avoids family members to get more computer time.
Even when they do interact with their friends, users may become irritable when away from the computer, causing further social harm. B. Statement of the problem The present researchers are focusing on the good and bad effects of playing computer games. In connection with these, we, the researchers attempts to answer the following specific problems/questions? 1. What are the different effects of playing computer games to our health? 2.
Does it affects the academic performances of students? 3. C. Significance of the problem The present researcher focuses on the effects of computer games of the selected 1st year students of Partied State University Laboratory High School. As stated, the result of this research shall benefit the following: 1st year high school students.
The outcome of the present study will serve as an informant to the d. Scope and delimitation The present researcher focuses on the different effects of computer games to the health of 7-Diamond students. This research is done this school year 2013-2014 atPartied State University Laboratory High School. The respondents are also the main beneficiaries of the result of the study. The study concentrates on the good and bad effects of computer games to the health; which means that it covers the analyzing of their nutritional status.
Since the health is an indicator of a good student, the researcher also aims to find out the effects of computer games to the academic performances of the respondents.
