A rubber band is a short length of rubber, elastic in nature and formed in the shape of a circle which is commonly used to hold things together.Traditionally, rubber bands were brown in color, making them difficult to spot, however in 2004, due to several complaints from the general public about postal carriers creating litter by discarding the rubber ands which they used to keep the mail together, the Royal Mail, which holds its base in the United Kingdom, introduced red bands for their employees to use, hoping that the red rubber bands would be more conspicuous, hoping that their employees will feel compelled to pick up any rubber bands which they inadvertently dropped.Currently, 342 million red rubber bands are used every year.
A rubber band may symbolize many things, including flexibility. A rubber band, which is an elastic object, has the ability to stretch pretty far thus being flexible. Flexibility, a personality raid is the extent at which a person can cope with changes in circumstances and think about problems in a novel way. Flexibility is a personality trait which describes me and my ability to adapt to other scenarios easily.This personality trait is important in life as without it, everyone will be working in a unitary format, without being able to co-operate with each other. Another character quality that comes alongside flexibility is patience which is needed in order to be flexible.
Without patience, one may not have the ability to be willing to be as flexible to changes. However, a rubber band also has its limitations with being stretched. If a rubber band is stretched beyond its elastic limit, it will snap and lose its circular shape.This characteristic of a rubber band is also similar to that of having a flexible personality. Though a person may seem to be willing to adapt to every change that may pass by, that individual will also come across a scenario where patience is tested and with most scenarios, the individual may not be able to tolerate that feeling and may snap back, Just as a rubber band would.
This is also a trait that needs to be present in order to prevent other people from manipulating you to do things to their benefit.A rubber band may also be used to symbolize unification and bonding. Since rubber bands are commonly used to bundle things together, this could symbolize a person as being the person that keeps people together, focused and not straying away. This is very useful in life as this will prevent other people from straying away from the topic at hand.
All in all, these different qualities represent me as I am a person of flexibility, with my limitations and I also unify people and lead them in a preferred direction.
