. ie. your project objective and research question Title:the business and financial performance of an organisation over a three year period The main reason for choosing this title that I have a chance to do a depth analysis on company’s business and financial performance over three years.From the financial performance, we able to know how is the financial position in the market and as well as its direction towards to the market changed. Due to accounting background, I am able to apply the knowledge that has been learned in a more practical and effective ways into this project. Able to analysis the financial performance correctly is very critical to a company because it able to pin point the financial position of an enterprise which will be used to make a wide range of decisions especially current economy.
In additional, enterprise performance is greatly affected by how is the decision makers receive and process this information correctly. Maxis and Digi – both in same market space. Maxis is group level business , Digifrom small to big enterprise oth maxis and Digi provide a range of mobile communication services. They off the postpaid, prepaid call plans, broadband services, international roaming services to customer. But they involved in price war each other which driven to provide better service to customer but in lower price.Describe the organization Celcome Axiata Berhad is a mobile network operator based in Malaysia which started its business in year 1988 and has been successfully emerged as one of the largest enterprise.
They offer a wide range of services from prepaid and postpaid call plans, mobile broadband services to international roaming services. They are facing fierce competition from other 2 largest network operators which are DIGI and MAXIS in the prepaid card services and also the mobile broadband service in malaysia.And Celcome has the widest coverage of network nationwide Digi Telecommunication Berhad is another mobile network operator in Malaysia which started in its business in year 1995. They offer the services just like its competitor Maxis which include prepaid and postpaid call plan service and also the mobile broadband service. They involved in the price competition with its competitor to lower down the price of prepaid call plan service.
They successfully emerged as 1 one of largest mobile operator in Malaysia. Reason - both of the companies perform well in the market - able to react to the market change - from analyzing the financial report , we able to determine which company is perform better - previous may become a guideline in predicting coming company performance - Reason. Both companies are the leader as the mobile network operator in malaysia. They have been contributes greatly into economies growth.From analyzing the financial data from both companies, we able to understand how is the performance of financial position against the market hanged especially during the economy crisis year 2008.
Since that, the decision makers are more aware of the market changed that may lead to wrong decisions. Thus,via the analyzing of the previous financial performance, it provide us a tool, guideline to understand more deeply about the strength and weaknesses .
