Cumbrous Ambulatory Care Center Cumbrous ambulatory care center Is an Army base medical care center for most health needs. It is a facility in which all ambulatory care may be performed.

This meaner it excludes emergency care and long term or overnight care. The facility houses Primary care such as Internal medicine which helps those with long term problems such as diabetes, cancer, and chromes disease to manage and monitor treatments. There Is a practice for routine care, minor acute Illnesses, pregnancy testing, prescribed Injections, medicine refills and physicals.Another area focuses on family practice, Commando clinic, lapel clans, and smoking cessation. The other primary care practices are pediatrics, balloon and hearing, and a Warrior clinic which runs as an urgent care only It Is not available 24 hours as normal urgent care offices are. Specialty Care services are also offered at Cumbrous such as anesthesia services, same day surgeries, laboratory services, musculoskeletal, physical therapy, podiatry, radiology and pharmacy to name some.

The services provided fit the description of outpatient care our book describes as al these services are available to patients who are able to come and go in the same day and do not require overnight or long term care. The hours of operation are day time as any clinic usually is. The differences with Cumbrous and general outpatient care is that Cumbrous operates all these services in the same building like a hospital where as off base you have so many options on where to go and who to see and location is important because you may be sent to many places to receive all the services that Cumbrous encompasses.Cumbrous is a military unit and houses their win insurance within the hospital so those in the military and their families know they can be seen by all practicing out of this facility. It is much harder to find locations outside of the military in which can accept your insurance or offer care for those who cannot afford it.

Records of Cumbrous patients are readily available as appointments are made online and records are available and up to date online through the insurance. All of these factors make Cumbrous such a convenient medical facility Cumbrous gives in my opinion a great opportunity for many health care rebellions. The staff they need to have to perform all of these services could be tremendous. You would need to have physicians both primary and specialty along with nurses or trained technicians.

IT Is as Important as health care professionals as the facility runs through Its own Insurance and keeps records through their system that are up to date and make It efficient for patients being seen In this faculty. As hospitals run I would assume you could have the same type of governance with a facility such as this with a CEO, Board of Trustees, and medical directors. A chief of service would be needed to make sure the facility stays within regulation sanitary, sate, Ana Toweling codes. Now Dealing a military Tacitly I am unsure AT now teen Nile.

A question I have about the facility is; does it have to be staffed by military, volunteer, or is it associated with an educational facility to teach. The website is helpful for a patient seeking care, but not for someone looking for a career. Health Information Technology although not directly addressed was found through meaner of contact or service. First thing I noticed when looking into the site as that appointments are readily available to make online at any time. This meaner less secretarial positions would be needed in the facility.

Having so much information available online makes healthy lifestyles more attainable and eliminates visits when so much information is available online.Having the insurance company which is military only in the hospital for which it is used is very convenient for patients to have all their information available and records up to date. Because of this, billing will also be done quickly and efficiently. Another way Health Information Technology or HIT is lawful in this facility is that the patient records would be available for each specialty within the facility making communication great and less room for mistakes when it comes to diagnosing or treating patients.Everyone may benefit in this setting. The insurance company is up to date and aware of what is actually going on in the facility.

The consumers, military personnel and families with this insurance know they can be seen for everything in this facility making health issues less stressful and more convenient. Physicians and other health care professionals need not worry bout payment issues as it is taken care of right in the facility so they wouldn't have to turn anyone away or modify treatment for insurance purposes. As a student I would imagine there would be many mixed emotions working in this type of a setting as a nurse. On one hand it is a Job and you would perform duties as usual, it would be nice to know the treatment would be on a more equal level when insurance is not a key factor and would not limit the treatment for patients. Although I am not in the military, I do have family and friends who are and it's a different way f life to belong to something that controls your present and future. These families go through many ups and downs and emotionally, mentally and physically have to deal with challenges on a daily basis.

To be a nurse in this type of setting you would need to understand that their needs are going to be similar but not the same as your average patient. They may be dealing with more than we understand. A nurses training in a military setting may slightly differ from those in other outpatient facilities or hospitals to be mentally and possibly physically prepared in order to help in specific treatments.
