The improper waste disposal of garbage is a major sociological problem today due to its capability of contaminating the area in which we live and it’s potential to be lethal to all living things. Its effects increase the risk of adverse health effects in humans and animals, causes damage to eco-systems and accelerate the destruction of our environment. The more waste we generate, the more we have to dispose of.In the condition of 5th Camarilla St. , Barangay San Roque, Murphy at Quezon City, the place is located near loan establishments, notary publics and other commercial establishments hence, many people are coming to the said street and leaving lot of litter.
So to say, the residents are the ones that are responsible for cleaning the area. It is true that they do clean the streets but the litters or garbage that is collected are not thrown away properly. II. a. Statement of the Problem The improper waste disposal of every household in 5th Camarilla St.
Barangay San Roque, Murphy, Quezon City causes threat to the health of their family and to the environment. The residents are not well aware of the effects that they may face in the future if they will not learn how to become responsible on their own trash, may be it from their own homes or from outside their house. b. Scope and Delimitation This study is conducted due to the concern of the researchers to the possible negative effects of improper waste disposal of people to their family and to the environment. So, the researchers decided to study this place at Quezon City near Camp Aguinaldo and 15th avenue.
The 5th Camarilla Street is a residential area but because this street is located near Camp Aguinaldo, many people has taken the opportunity to earn money so they built businesses and because of this many people are coming to this place most specifically in 5th Camarilla Street. This investigation was conducted to determine the status and the current situation of the said street as perceived by the residents of 5th Camarilla and what are the possible ways that they can do to prevent the harmful effects of improper waste disposal to the health of their family and to the environment.III. a. Methodology The descriptive method of research was used in the study.
Descriptive method of research is a fact-finding study with adequate and accurate interpretation of finding. It describes what is. It describes with emphasis what actually exist such as current conditions, practices, situations, or any phenomena. Since the present study or investigation was concerned with the present status of waste disposal of the residents of 5th Camarilla Street, the descriptive method of research is the most appropriate method to use.
. Gathering of data The method used for collecting data used was normative survey. This is concerned with the looking into the commonality of some elements. Since the present research is a status study, the normative survey is the most effective way of gathering data. IV.

Summary As perceived from the table, the number of respondents who answered yes to the first question is higher which means that most of the residents of 5th camarilla are still concerned with the environment the live in but it is shown from the question number 2 that most of the residents don’t segregate their trash and yet they are aware of what might happen if they do not.Still, many residents are not contented of the current situation of their environment and hoping that there is still something that they can do and are willing to educate themselves to prevent the harmful effects of improper waste of disposal to the health of their family and to the environment. VI. ConclusionThe conclusion that can be drawn by the researchers from the gathered datas and observations, the summary of findings is this: Most of the residents of 5th Camarilla Street are really aware that there are negative effects of improper way of disposal of waste to the health of their family and to the environment yet, they do not properly do it.
