When it comes to math, many people have always asked the question, “When will I ever do this again in real life? ” and for some it is a hard question to answer, but for me it is simple. You use math everyday and probably do not even realize it. Math has been a part of our lives even since man lived in caves. For instance, if there were 10 apples and 9 people then each person would get one and there would be one left over, or they could also even tell that 11 is more then 8.This was just the start of math and now it has developed into much more difficult problems.
Just because not every single job or career in life requires complex equations to solve does not mean math is not an important part of life. Math can help us shop smarter, purchase the better choice of insurance, redecorate a room under a budget, or even creating architectural buildings. People like Martha Stewart and Paula Dean also have to use math to bake and cook. They always need to make sure that each ingredient is measured properly as well as sometimes having to add or subtract, maybe even multiply or divide to get the exact amounts. Math is not just used to find out which things are cheap at Publix or Winn Dixie.
It is used in several different jobs and careers as well. This may sound surprising but even animators the people who make cartoons like Mickey and Minnie or Donald and Pluto use math in their jobs. An animator uses linear algebra to show that the direction an object in changed or moved at and shifted around. But bakers and animators are not the only ones that do math. Lawyers or Attorneys also have to use math skills like problem solving and logic everyday.
Just like a mathematical problem, lawyers need to show the step-by-step what they know and display it in the courtroom. Many other jobs like astronomers, mathematical physicists, chemists, and biologists all require the use of math. Astronauts always have to use math in order to make exact mathematical calculations on how the spaceship leaves Earth to even how to drive or control it.Mathematical Physicists also require a great deal of mathematical knowledge.
They are always using math when they use models and equations to figure out many different physic-related situations. Chemists use math for a variety of things. They have to balance the equation of two chemical substances. They use mathematical calculations are extremely necessary to explore different concepts in chemistry and use dimensional analysis to fond any range of information about new discoveries.Mathematics is also used to calculate the amount of energy in reactions, compression of gas, the amount of grams needed to add to a solution to reach the desired concentration, and lastly they use math the find the quantities of reactants needed to reach a desired point. Biologists use math when they plot down things on graphs to help them understand different equations.
So now you know math teachers aren’t the only ones that need to know math. These jobs may all be filled with problems, but at least somebody needs to have a solution.
