She's dead..
. and between us we killed her. ` The realisation of Sheila's draws interest that we cannot guilt individuals in the family however each member of the family including Gerald Croft is similarly responsible for the death of Eva smith. Each member of the family plays a role that led to her death therefore to find the most blameful for the death. We must explore each character's occurrence with Eva.As we come to first member of the family, Mr Birling is the one to come into contact with Eva Smith.
He is responsible for forcing her to find a different occupation plus start a novel uncomfortable life. Even though he has got a right to sack her but he don't recognize that "We don't live alone... also he does not think what he does.
Sheila a selfish girl, she just uses her to back up her plan so no one is in her way, she is jealous of nice-looking girls that's why she is jealous of her, therefore she is backing up so no one can compare her with Eva.Mr Gerald's opinion of being apologetic for her, now called Daisy Renton, is understandable. Despite the fact that Mr Birling because he wants extra from his occupation therefore he dismisses Eva but Gerald uses her for sex.Despite the fact he becomes one of the most important personality in her time. But he does not think of her as she felt about him, which simply means he is easily able to end the affair.
He gave her everything such as a home, food etc. Eventually taking it all away at the same time as he got nothing to do with her.A selfish way for treating a girl is long enough. It's like we can make groups of people, first one is Mr Birling, Sheila and Gerald, Second is Eric, and at the end Mrs Birling.
It's similar to we can make 2 sides of people who led the death of Eva Smith, One side is Mr Birling, Sheila, and Gerald and the other is Eric. The reason for that is one side does not led the death but if we add both sides together then it will simply kill her.Eric uses her for sex and then he steals the money, he does not think of the consequences and what would happen to that girl by making her pregnant, giving her stolen money and then not marrying so I think he is one of the most responsible for the death of Eva Smith.Mrs Birling she is like annoying woman in our life, reason for that is people like her ask for voluntary job than cannot do work as they are told to unless if they are more important than any other person in the world. She thinks her name or her family name is more important than a pregnant woman therefore I think we should blame her for everything.
She should suffer this pain so she knows the pain of others, the pain of single mother and the pain of millions and millions and millions of Eva Smith."We don't live alone. We are all members of one body. We are responsible for each other." The Inspector delivers this message from Priestley. As we can see that not a single person is responsible for her death but one by one they all play their role through their selfishness to kill her.
I wouldn't say that it's Mrs Birling the most responsible and blameful for her death because she would not have ended up at the mercy of Mrs Birling. Consequently the real responsibility for the suicide of Eva Smith must be seen as a joint one. Echoing Priestley's words that "we are responsible for each other".
