One calm and cold winter morning, I awoke to the sound of knocking on my front door. I rushed downstairs to open it.
I turned the knob and was aghast at who I saw on the other side. Cameras flashed as Oprah Winfrey told me that I had won the “Fall Kick Off ‘3 Wishes’ Give-A-Way.” The three wishes that I desired was to become a wrestling state champion, to be with the perfect girl, and to have unlimited gas for my car.The first wish that was granted to me was to become a state champion in wrestling. More specifically; I wanted the proper training, coaches, attire, and work ethic to help me reach state level.
I have been wrestling for a few years and am on my high school varsity team. To be noticed as a wrestler you have to make it the district and region to state competition. I also wished for this because making it to states would give me the satisfaction of knowing my hard work has paid off. Being at the state level would almost guarantee me a college scholarship somewhere too. Knowing that I would become a state champion would give me the motivation to work even harder in the preseason, regular season, and offseason. It would also grant me a scholarship which would make my parents proud knowing I would be receiving a great college education.
Next, my second wish was to be with the perfect girl. The reason I wished for this was because it would bring me happiness. I could have wished for a billion dollars, but money cannot by me happiness. My idea of a perfect girl would be short, tan, thin brunette with blue eyes and a great smile. We would also have the perfect relationship. We would never fighting and always get along and have a great time.
My perfect girl would have the same interests and views as me. I wished for this because I would rather be broke and happy with someone than to have all of the money in the world and be lonely every day. Finally, my last wish was to have unlimited gas for any car that I choose to drive. This wish would be economically smart and it would save me an immense amount of time. Gas prices over the last few years and peaked, and are only going to increase as the quantity of gas goes down and the demand goes up. I also would not have to waste any time at the pump because I would always be on the road.
Knowing that I would never have to pay for gas would help me buy a more advanced car once I get my license. I would never have to worry about any car having enough miles per gallon or gas efficiency also. My wish for unlimited gas saved me time and money in the long run.On a calm and cold winter morning, Oprah Winfrey appeared on my front porch informing that I was going to be granted any three wishes I desired.
At first I did not believe what I was seeing and hearing, but then realized it was not a dream and quickly thought. My three wishes were to become a wrestling state champion, be with the perfect girl, and have unlimited gas for my car.
