All men came to a specific point in live where they started questioning themselves, “Why am I here? Where from, and where to" The sad news is that many people grew up and died and still never have any answer to these questions. The purpose of human life on earth has been a controversial issue among religions. At the cause of this research; I came across about 15 well known religions practically on earth, though there might be some good number of hidden ones, and each of these have different views and perspective on mankind purpose on earth.Each religion have their own Holly scripture which sets up the rules, beliefs, doctrine, norms, and ethical culture, and that gave them a different views on the existence of mankind here on earth.

In this essay, I will be highlighting few religions, giving a short explanation on what they believe to be the purpose of human life on earth. Similarly I will refer the ideas of philosophy or sociology and that of mine on what is thought to be the purpose of human life on earth. Description:The purpose of human life on earth according to Hinduism: Hindus believed that human purpose on earth is associated with these four phrases namely; Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha. In accordance with Hinduism believes, Dharma stands for righteousness, or living a moral life at all times. Dharma believes in many things such as law, teaching and religion which enable one to fulfill his/her purpose of life and destiny. In Dharma, it was believed that human being is indebted to god and must repay his debt during life time.

These debts are categorized into five; A. Debt to the gods for their blessings; which is paid through rituals and offerings. B. Debt to parents and teachers; paid by supporting them, having children of one's own and passing along knowledge. C.

Debt to guests; repaid by treating them as if they were gods visiting one's home. D. Debt to other human beings; repaid by treating them with respect. E.

Debt to all other living beings; repaid by offering good will, food or any other help that is appropriate. Artha:Signifies prosperous or success, the vital objective of Hinduism is light, human pursuit of wealth and prosperity is regarded as basic pursuit for every householder. It also ensures social order, for there would be no society if everyone enunciates worldly life to meditate. But while Hindus are encouraged to make money, it must be within the bounds of dharma. Kama: This is use to express human quest for romantic love and sexual pleasure, though it can refer to desire in general.

Like artha, kama is seen as an appropriate pursuit of the householder.The Kama Sutra, a manual for erotic and other human pleasures. Moksha: The ultimate end of every Hindu's life is moksha, which can be understood in a variety of ways: liberation from rebirth, enlightenment, Self-realization, or union with God. This is considered to be the highest purpose of life, although very few can achieve it in a single lifetime and there are a variety of paths to attain it.

The purpose of human life on earth according to Christianity: In Christendom today, there are different types of Christianity and worshipers with different belief and Bible translation.Each of them have different doctrine, beliefs and norms, the purpose of human life on earth varies accordingly to Christianity and these have a positive or negative reflection and the meaning and understanding of the purpose of human life on earth. According to the words of God from new king James Holy bible in Genesis chapter 1Verses 27 and 28 continue: "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.

" Referring to the above quotation, you can see that God created man here on earth and instantly assigned him for a purpose. God placed man on the earth to have dominion over all of God’s creation, spiritual and natural. Man was placed on the earth as God’s representative to care for the earth and protect it from the attacks of the enemy, Satan.Once man fell, he lost this authority and the right to exercise spiritual domination.

Man himself was now under the feet of Satan and demons. Satan was the lord over man. The purpose of human life on earth according to Buddhism: Buddhism belief on the purpose of life is to ignore those things that make man to suffer. The Buddha believes that human being suffer because we quest for things that do not derive happiness.

Humans is anxiously undertakes to hold on to things such as - friends, health, material things – which does not last, and this causes distress on humans.The Buddha believes that there are things in life that give joy, but pointed out that none of them last and our attachment to them only causes more suffering. Buddha believes that the purpose of human on earth lies in what they said to be the "Noble Eightfold Path" one can permanently escape suffering by following the Noble Eightfold Path which is mentioned as; Right knowledge, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration. The purpose of human life on earth according to Islam:According to Islamic religion, the purpose of humans on earth is to worship God. Humans were created as God's subordinate over the earth to obey him.

Worshipping God should be everyone's ultimate aim, rather than accumulating wealth or seeking temporary happiness. Islam claims to reveal unique and essential guidance about how to worship God properly, to ensure reward after death. Sufi teaching emphasizes the individual and mystical aspects of worship, whilst more conservative Wahhabi teaching is more concerned with the community and the individual following the Shariah law correctly.Some emphasize the importance of prayer, and others stress worship as an attitude of the whole of one's life.

Islam Believes that Allah, the Almighty created human beings to do His bidding and to obey His commands. So the purpose of human life, as with Jinn spirits is to worship God. Usually this is understood as complete submission to him shown in obedience to his commands, as revealed in the Quran. Islam itself means submission and Muslim one who submits to God.The purpose of human life on earth according to Philosophy or Sociology: There are so any articles from different Philosophers explaining their views on purpose of humans here on earth, the philosophy perspectives on the purpose of human life are those ideologies which explain life in terms of ideals or abstractions defined by humans.

However according to German philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche’s view, he said that human existence here on earth have no any meaning. Nietzsche considered Christianity’s concern with the afterlife stronger than its occupation with life on Earth, so he considered the meaning of life as nothing.French philosopher and scientist, Rene Descartes, asserts that life may not even be real, but rather may only be a dream. He questions the reality of our physical bodies. Some people hold the view that the true meaning of why humankind is here is the result of either accident or coincidence.

Conclusion: In conclusion, from the information gathered from the above mentioned religions on the purpose of human life here on earth, my own ideal is that all mankind created by God have a purpose by which he/she was created, and the purpose of man on earth varies according to each individual.It was as a result of ignorant that made man to forget the purpose by which he/she was created; Man’s purpose for life is attached with destiny, by reaching your destiny, a purpose can be achieved. After the creation of mankind, God gave a commission to be an ambassador here on earth, to look after other creations and have dominion over them; humans were created to fulfill the will of God and satisfying God about creations.Paul says in verse 10 of Ephesians 3, “To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.

" Our purpose is to display the wisdom of God to Satan and the principalities and powers. God does not go directly to Satan and show him His wisdom, but He points to us. Therefore the above, summarize the purpose of human life here on planate earth.
