In every story being created, it is important to take note of the point of view being utilized in the story. The main reason for this is the impact it creates to the reader in terms of the information occurring in the story and the perceptions that occurs in each and every mind of the character.

In the Legend of the Sleepy Hollow (Irving, 2007), the author utilized a narrator with the third person omniscient point of view, who can witness everything happening in the story. Aside from that, a third person, omniscient narrator will provide no biases and no opinions in the story because he takes no action in it.With this type of narrator, each character will experience its own spotlight anytime and in any events without taking biases. Another advantage of the point of view in a story is that it predicts the reliability of the narrator, and above all types of point of view, the third person omniscient is the most reliable one.

Having this type of point of view, the readers would further grasp what is happening in the story and would further appreciate every detail being described by the narrator.
