Life is too short for any individual to make every mistake. We use history to learn where we come from and what the caused events of the past to happen. There must be a strong in depth understanding of what causes events such as the renaissance all the way to World War Two. Creating a strong understanding of the past helps form a guide to make the future better. Human sciences seek the functionality of the human mind in order to reason why people act the way they do. These scientists find ways the mind works in order to avoid or coup with undesirable traits of our psyche.

These differing tactics lead us to the question “To what extent are these areas of knowledge seeking the same objective? ” Historians attempt to identify what incidents and people change the course of human history. Inquiring what caused those incidents? What made that person act in the way they did? Their studies observe both pleasant and cruel things in the past. Once able to recognize what produced a good and bad event or person in the past can be applied to the present to help shift modern events.

For example since the rise of the Nazi party has been studied so rigorously we are able to recognize the pre-cursing signs in order to halt the upcoming result. In contrast we can look to high economic times or flourishing of the arts to see what had led to them. Going beyond the simple study of what has happened, the knowledge we archive has become a vital reference point for civilization today. In spite of it being a study of the past it is in fact enhancing the future for the society around them. Civilization would never come to existents if we never learn from our mistakes.

Just as people will never live long enough to make every mistake themselves they must learn from the mistakes that have happened. Great empires act like humans in the way that if they see another empire fall from social unrest they will take the necessary measures to ensure it doesn’t happen to them. Historian’s soul responsibility is to understand these triggers so that the present may benefit. The human sciences look for defined ways humans work. Viewing the brain like machine that has its own functions, always working in a systematic way.

They unlock patterns in how people act based on how they were raised or in what environment they were subject to. Understanding why and individual acts in the ways they do helps us comprehend why society and humankind as a whole acts. The main purpose behind understanding the functionality of the brain is to help people deal with unhealthy traits such as depression. If we know that if someone exposed to a high amount of violent video games will become a violent individual in the future we can make people more aware of the risks and the consequences of those risks.

These sciences could help uncover what was going through the minds of people in Germany before World War Two and understand what emotions lead to such a dark time in human history. In this way the human scientist are also help enrich the future by giving us more ability to stabilize unwanted traits of our mind. They believe that conditions of which the person is subject to will dictate how that person will act in the future. It may be whom a person was raised by, how they were raised or where they live.

These things form the persons thought process and forms how apparent unwanted traits become. We use the information gained through the studies to help in any way possible make things like anger, greed and depression less for the future. Historians study the past to improve our future and human scientist study our minds in order to accomplish the same. They both are seeking understandings of what causes the horrific and fantastic times for mankind so that we can replicate the same conditions again or change the conditions.

With historians looking at what mankind did and what caused them to do it and human scientist looking at what things around them may have formed their mind to think this way, the two areas of knowledge go hand and hand. The studies of mental states by human scientist can benefit historians understanding incredibly in their mission to find the causes of events. The events that occur would also help the scientist find what the mental outcomes are for the populist. These two areas of knowledge not only seek the same goal but are also complimentary to one another.

They are both encompassed within the overall study of how civilization works and in turn how to improve the future from that knowledge. While history is a part of the past us studying what has happened helps us prevent the bad again and replicate the good, both to improve the future for everyone. Human sciences on the other hand study our mind and those of the past. These two areas of knowledge seem incredibly different at first glance but are hugely intertwined when looked into deeply. Seeking the objective to help society learn for the future by how people act and have acted.

These areas of knowledge also give and take information from one another. Historians understand why Hitler built up so much hate by understanding what emotional trauma had been done to him before. The human scientist benefits from history by looking at mean child and seeing that he had been raised in a poor nation due to wars and poverty over thousands of years. While the historian is obviously studying the past and the scientist is seeking to change the future they are both seeking to better society in the future.
