In the article it examined health habits that Americans follow, it also examined the bathroom habits of the Americans, and it also examined the medical professionals that treat them.But the distinction of the habits of the Americans in the article is that the author worded them as if they were originated from an Eastern Civilization; perhaps China or Native American ultras even though they're ordinary American habits.

There is no evidence that religion works but people put their faiths and hope into believing that it will work. The grooming habits of the Americans symbolizes cleanliness which include: scraping and lacerating the surface of the face with a sharp instrument (otherwise known as shaving) American's facing their fears (having an almost pathological horror of and fascination with the mouth) of going to the (Holy-mouth men) Dentist, and women baking their heads in small ovens about an hour (blow drying their hair).To improve the health of their mouths they try to avoid having dental problems such as: tooth decay or tooth loss (teeth would fall out) gingivitis (gums bleeding) and having such foul smelling breath that their friends or romantic partners would not have social contact with them. So Americans would perform the ritual of inserting a small bundle of hog hairs into the mouth, along with certain magical powders, and then moving the bundle in a highly formalized series of gestures (otherwise known as brushing the teeth with a toothbrush and toothpaste ).
