People who come to the Sutton Primary Care Trust use our services on a day to day basis, many of whom have different disabilities such as; learning or physical disabilities, mental health issues, vulnerable due to age and sensual impairments, but they all have one thing in common.
Rights Moral or legal rights vary from person to person but we can guarantee, the service users rights are our priority.* Welfare – Every service user has the right to financial help in times of need, the service user will be assisted in finding out the correct procedures to claim for their legal entitlements to benefits or pensions. Equality Act – Irrespective of race, colour or ethnicity we treat everyone who uses our facilities as individuals and have equalled rights * Data Protection Act – Every service user has the right to confidentiality, therefore any information we have on file or stored on our computers will remain confidential. * Age Discrimination – Service users will not be discriminated due to age, they will never be denied treatment or given bad quality of care.* Sexual Orientation – People have the right to be whatever sexuality they want to be without being victimized such as; homosexual, lesbian, heterosexual or bisexual.
Religious Beliefs – We encourage service users who have religious beliefs to practice their faith without feeling ashamed, Therefore on their chosen days of worship one of out service providers will happily escort the individual to their chosen place for prayers. * Privacy – As service providers we fully respect the services users right to privacy, we do not open any form of correspondents addressed to them and during family visits they are able to spend valuable time with them without feeling rushed.Respect and Dignity – No matter what the illness, age, disability or impairment is of any individual, the service provider will treat the service user with politeness and care and also value the individuals. As a team of professionals we pride ourselves on what we do to help others, no matter how big or small the problem is we are there to help. Moral and legal rights are there to help you live in society, never feel as if you have no rights as you do.
