One problem in my day to day life is time management. This is a problem that I would like to solve to make my day better and be able to complete all the tasks needed to be completed.
I will make a solution to this problem as well as gather the information to help solve the issue, the process in which I will use to evaluate information and what I will consider in the evaluation, and how I will use the information to resolve the problem and what I will take into consideration as I consider different solutions. Time management is an issue for many people including myself.I have a full time job that keeps me most of the day and I also have family and friends that I spend time with as well as attending online college courses. It is hard to find enough time in the day to complete all the tasks that are needed to be completed and still get to bed early to wake up and start the process all over again. My goal is to solve the issue of time management and be able to go to bed at a decent time and wake up feeling refreshed for the new day instead of being tires throughout my day and just waiting for it to be over.Information that I can gather to help me solve this issue would be analyzing my day in a detailed written paper.
I need to write down everything that I do on a daily basis and really see what I am doing so I can research this and find a solution to the problem. I will research solving time management issues to help me with this issue. Mind tools are a great site that you can research for good time management solving techniques. This site states that using certain techniques that you can start to tackle problems that might otherwise seem huge, overwhelming, and excessively complex (Mind tools, 2010).When I am evaluating the process that I will use to evaluate information and what I will need to consider in my evaluation I will use different categories. I will break down all the information from my day into groups such as work activities, lunch, family activities, family time, friend time, grocery shopping, education, and necessary errands that I need to do for the day.
I will evaluate each of these different groups individually to see what I do on a daily basis and the time that it takes me to do these daily tasks.Information in these groups will be broke down then into time groups from the most amount of time spent on one thing to the lowest time spent on one thing. After the information is broke down into the different groups I will then minimize the things that are not necessary and shorten time spent on different things throughout the day if this is possible. I will begin by making a schedule for each day of the week that will have each activity that needs to be done on it.This schedule will include the detailed amount of time that I should spend on a certain activity for the day and I can change times as needed.
There are some things that I cannot eliminate time on such as work. I work a fixed amount of hours a week so these times cannot be changed unless I am adding time because there are times that I will need to work over the hours that are on the schedule. All the information that I have collected about my day will help me resolve the time management issue is I correctly plan my days with the schedule. I will also consider the times that I may have to work over as well as unexpected things that occur that I did not fit into my schedule so I will need to be sure that there is some extra time during the day that I can have to myself or use on the unexpected things that can happen in my day.Time management I think is a major issue in many people’s lives today.
There are some people who just live day to day and run out of time and things do not get done on time. This is why we need to solve the issue of time management. I think that my plan would solve this issue and everyday would be a well productive day and I will be able to rest at the end of the day.
