What particular personal challenges or characteristics, or conditions in the society and the profession of psychology, had the greatest impact upon your development as a psychologist? What do you consider to be the proper subject matter of psychology? The proper subject matter for psychology would help to explain our past, as well as assist in predicting our future. Evolutionary psychology (EP) will be the standard someday in our lifetimes. The reason is when we look at what we were it allows us to decode our past which, will help us correctly write our future. We may be decedents of animals but that does not mean that we have to constantly act as if we are uncivilized.
