All of us, at some stage, have dreamed of being somebody special, somebody famous, a celebrity. Who hasn’t imagined about being the player scoring the game-winning touchdown? Who hasn’t dreamed of being the next miss universe? And how many times have we dreamed of being a millionaire, or successful, or happy with our love life? Generally, we dream huge dreams and have big aspirations. Mostly however, our dreams remain only that – dreams.
Eventually our hopes are just get forgotten. This is sad. Instead of experiencing life as an exciting adventure, we get caught up in the humdrum of daily living, barely existing. But you know what? Life can be so much better, if only we learned to aim higher, aim for the stars and you might end up on the moon. The word impossible stuck in our mind, is probably the biggest culprit. We honestly believe that what we desire is just “impossible” to achieve.
You get hung up on this belief, so you don’t even try anymore. You believe that no-one could possibly do this. You’re wrong. The world is full of examples of impossible things. Just think back in time. Nearly every modern technological invention started out as being impossible.
Remember watching Star Trek with their communicators? Flip a lid, or touch a button and you could talk to anyone. How absurd that seemed in the age of wired telephones! Nowadays nearly everyone has a cellphone, and those communication possibilities. A prime example still exists today. Did you know that according to accepted aerodynamic principles that we know of today, it is Impossible for the bumble bee to fly? The problem is nobody told the bumblebee, so it flies anyway. What does all this mean to you?The saying “where there’s a will, there’s a way” comes to mind.
If you really believe that you can achieve something, and you take actions toward that belief on a consistent basis, who is to say that you can not achieve it. OK Disclaimer- you can’t break the laws of nature. You can’t make another person do something against their will. That would backfire anyway. Does any of this work with relationships and love? That’s a most emphatic yes. If you don’t have any idea what you want to get out of your relationship, what chance does your partner have of fulfilling that role? If you don’t have a clear picture, how can they? So step one- decide what you actually want.
Now you need to communicate that to your partner. Note I said communicate, not tell. You both need to have a goal where your relationship is going. These goals had better be compatible, or else you are heading for disaster.
People don’t seem to realize that having goals and dreams for your relationship is just as important as goals for your life. Dream big- huge love, great happiness, and then make it happen. Get passionate about the relationship, not only the partner, work on the bigger picture in your mind. Remember, “What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve” So believe in your happiness, see your perfect love, see it in your mind and watch what happens. Remember nothing is impossible! The word 'impossible' itself spells, 'I'm possible'.
Napoleon Bonaparte once remarked, "That the word 'impossible' is found only in the dictionary of fools". In this world, everything is possible on the basis of will power, dogged determination and sacrifice. Nothing is impossible in this world. This implies that you can do anything, if you have will to do it. The will is like "the hammer that shatters glass but forges steel". A determination which is as strong as steei makes everything possible in the world.
