Please give a thoughtful, candid analysis of your professional objectives, both long and short term, and indicate how the graduate program for which you are applying will help you achieve them. I have grown up watching my father run a construction business called ABC firm. As I became older, though I really did not understand the full implications of running a venture, I always felt that given the opportunity, I would do things a little differently. The company’s growth was good but there was always the scope of it being phenomenal.
But all this reasoning had to wait as I pursued a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and work for nearly two years in an MNC like Wipro Technologies to get a clear picture of my career aspirations and to understand how an organization works. When I joined Wipro Services Limited, as a full-timer in 2009, the client I got to work with is Citigroup Inc. which is the world's largest financial services network, spanning 140 countries, with approximately 16,000 offices worldwide. The company holds over 200 million customer accounts in more than 140 countries and annual revenue of $86.
6 billion and at Wipro, we provide the various software applications provided to Citi Group globally. From Product Acceptance Testing team front, we support the business of Citi Group by providing them bug free software in the specific project under Citi Connectivity Registry. Even if this is a technical job, I started to learn the importance of time delivery and team cooperation through various activities. These have greatly helped me to understand how a large organization functions in terms of client and business interface. Coming to my Short term and Long term goalsAfter completing my MBA, my immediate aim would be to get some hands on experience in my Father’s business.
Then will start working on to establishing it and develop the venture. At the same time, I will also aim at ramping up the headcount and the assets in order to handle larger assignments. At the later stage, my long term goal would be to acquire new ventures and stretch my reach of hands to other fields related to construction and real estate promotion. So I think an MBA from Suffolk would help me to learn the aspects of general management and my main focus would be on marketing and strategic management.
