The Manufactured Landscapes film had talked about the factories in China. There is huge factory with thousands of workers. All of Chinese workers are very quiet and focused to work on their own jobs. They required to do really fast worker and process to get everything in made on time. Most of them are wearing a yellow uniforms with yoke (green) and (ivory); a different groups in a different department. Ladies are wearing the blue bananas to protect their hair into their face, also to collect sweats.
All of the employee was outside to have a meeting, it just perfect square in each group section by row to row.In each group section to have a leader to discussed about the process in manufactured. I think Edward, he is the one to take a photography of the Chinese people. The photo located at the gallery and it make a theme “Manufactured Landscapes”. There is a lot of photos of workers, coal miners, mountains, recycle wasted area, and a lot of things related to environment. In China, they have a whole bunches of junk yards in a separated items.
Metals, the workers had to dig to separated the metals such as brim, other matters of metals. They make it cube stacks to crushed and organized to use for reuse again.They have a lot of metals contained alum, and very toxic. They required to wear gloves and mask to protect themselves, dirty clothes to wear, and it very dirty.
Also they have a whole pile of telephones plastics such a whole phone, and dial rings. They all can melt and reuse to make it new items all over again. E-waste environment is awesome because I see a lot of Chinese people is happy to do their job to separated items into a pile. Like an old computer chips to take spikes off from it, separated it. It just amazing to see a pile in the same spot with a different categories.It very organizing and clean freak but still dirty at the same time.
All of factories have a different ways, make clothes, electrical things, and everything is made from China to all over the world. They work so hard and give tested with iron caps to spray water, it really quick to test it. They required to make it fast process in the factory. Also, outside work in China, they also to do welding. They make ships for delivery items over the seas.
It really huge and twice bigger than a whale. When if the ship broke and torn down by the tide waves.What they do with it, they take it part down and reuse it again and make it new. They are really hard workers to keep it going and never want to leave it in pile like to keep the environment clean. In another side, there is a big pile of concretes and bricks from demolished buildings or damaged by the storms or old village.
They separated it and reuse it again for new buildings. They have a ver special event about new land of Shanghai, China (a nice and big city). They have a huge mini model samples are about 600 square feet and also on Guinness World Record.They all to have 20 years planning to build in Shanghai, China.
Now the cities to have about 4-5 million of people to live there now. Shanghai is growing so fast from the old town, dirty, old buildings, and in old generations. In new life of suburbs in Shanghai, China has a nice houses, gardens, bedrooms, study rooms, and etc. But there is a lot of young generation into the city of Shanghai.
Older generation aren't that happy because they wanted to keep their old town of Shanghai in their own heart. It's so sad. There is an old lady did not want to leave the old town and sewing the cloth by hands.Now, everything is changing in land, air, plants, pollutions, and etc. It make it worse for cars to drive to give more air pollutions in the city. Old town never have cars, keep healthy environment.
It's sad to see when things are gone into a nice city. It just the same concept about in Columbus, Ohio- in South High Street used to have a mini Chinatown in a long time ago. New people bought land and take over to make it better town. It just the same concept. So some of cities is creating some problems from old town to new town.
