Income – if the child has wealthy parents that doesn`t necessary mean that they will achieve and develop well but they will definitely have a better start in life Parenting behavioural– if the parent/carer is supportive and invest energy into a child that will show in the child`s development and attainment if the child have a stressful life or even neglectable and abusive parents that will have a negative effect on the child Lone parenting – this might mean that the parent have to work more and have less time for the child -the child might miss out on a male or female role model-they might have less income Changes within a family – a brake up, a new partner, bereavement can be very stressful and upsetting for a child and could cause them behavioural issues Home- having a stable home gives the child stability and security -also if the child moves around a lot, he/she will not have a consistent education and it can cause them social problems too -moving countries might cause more problem in the child`s development because of language barriers.Friend, peer groups- they have a huge effect on a child, they influence them in every way, they might decide what the child will like or dislike, and the child might achieve well if the peers do so. School – what schools are available where the child lives, what type of students go there Media –how many hours a child spend in front of a TV or computer.
They can have quality time while watching television or playing on a computer but the it can also have a negative effect on them Housing- whether the child has an own room or the house is overcrowded.Child`s health- both general and mental health issues can have an effect on the child`s intellectual and social development. It is also important that whether the child was born with a disability or impairment or suffered it during his/her life. How he/she and the parents can cope with it. Do they need special support, education? -eating habits: nutritious meals will have a good effect on a child.
It helps the child to be more active. Too much sugary drink and oily food can cause health and weight problems Parents/carer health- it is also important for the child`s development. Health issues can cause stress, anxiety, financial issues within a family which might lead to social problems.
