As there are advantages of democratic government it has also some disadvantage in the contrary.

We enjoy right in theory, but not in practice. In a democratic nation, in is the citizen who hold the right to elect their representatives and there governing authorities. According to common observation, not all the citizens are fully aware of the political scenario in their country. The common masses may not be aware of the political issues in society; this may result in people making the wrong choices during elections.

As the government is subject to change after every election term, the authorities may work with a short term focus. As they have to face an election after the completion of each term, they may lose focus on working for the people and rather focus on winning the elections. Conclusion:- No state can exist without having the power to maintain law and order and to punish the criminal acts.Democratic states too have power to punish the wrong doers but the rules and procedures by which the state enforces its law must be followed. For making the democracy fully successful the elected representative must be literate and politically conscious and should be aware of its rights and privileges the illiterate masses of India should be given education so that they can sensibly cast their vote in the favor of the right leader.

The politicians should also respect the citizen and the true spirit of democracy.
