In this essay I am going to write about arguments for and against hunting. In class we watched video tapes from the "Pro Hunting People" and "League Against Cruel Sports".Deer eat crops on farms so they should be hunted and killed, it is also said that deer should be hunted to keep their herds in good numbers.
Also, when hunting a deer is never left wounded, it is either left alive with no injuries or dead! If hunting was stopped then a lot of businesses would be affected. E.g. Hotels, Saddlers etc..
. Also, if deer were left to breed and not be hunted, then they would go onto farms and the farmers would kill them inhumanely.Hunting is a cruel sport and should be abolished. Hunting deer just makes them exhausted and the way that the hunters kill the deer is inhumane. When deer are chased for hours on end by dogs and horses they get exhausted and they get so tired that they have to stop, so then they get shot.
There was one incident where a deer was so scared that it jumped onto a roof in a village public house. The owners of the public house refused to allow the hunt to shoot it, it was later rescued by an animal rescue society.
