When it comes to training and development new hires or the original employees HR has to first choose whether to train on the job or to hire an outside agency for the training.Some of the training and development may be new hires learning the rights and rules of the industry and new and recent employees relearning the regulations of HIPPA and OSHA. They will also learn about the importance of patient satisfaction and safety regulations. Employee relations HR have some major functions that they deal with in this category. They also handle labor relations example contract negotiation, contract administration, grievance processing and more. The goal of employee relations and labor relations is to keep a positive employer/employee interaction, productivity, motivation and morale. In healthcare when dealing with to employee’s compensations and benefits a package/plan must be discussed first and agreed upon before finalizing and signed.Normally a compensation and benefits deal consists of vacation time, paid time off, sick days, salary pay amount, affordable medical, dental and vision plans, healthcare savings account with employer contribution, supplemental life insurance for employees and their dependents. Some may also include development training and tuition reimbursement and annual reviews with new goals.
