Mahatma Gandhi is known as the father of India. He is remembered not as the freedom fighter but as the one who led India on the path of Independence.
He is remembered for the contribution and devotion towards mankind. Gandhian Religion is comprised of three important principles: Nonviolence, Faith and Truth, which are also the hallmarks of Gandhian Doctrine. Many years have gone by but the luster of the Gandhian Religion remains undimmed. Invading forces have descended on India but Gandhi's ideals have remained indestructible. The Gandhian religion is not merely for India, but for the whole world as these principles are universally applicable and the Gandhian philosophy is not only essential for the rebirth of the Indian nation but also for the re-education of the human race.
The Gandhian religion, which is concerned with spiritual development is marked by the obsolescence of the materialistic civilization. Nonviolence is the greatest weapon against violence and also protects one’s self-respect and sense of honor. So its important for a human being to know the power of nonviolence, to learn it and to apply it in the life. It is becoming clear that at this dangerous moment in human history, the only hope for mankind is Mahatma Gandhi's principle of non-violence.
According to me, Gandhiji’s message of non violence did not mean complete absence of violence, but also loving concern for all life. Gandhiji even developed a method of direct action called satyagarha(truth-force) based on the principle of non violence, truth and courage.Learning non violence is not a child’s play because it requires lots of patience. One who is learning non violence must learn to keep patience because it requires lot of patience in oneself, and it calls for acceptance of intense sufferings when it is being applied. Application of nonviolence means you should be having intense faith in God and yourself.
Only then you would be able to achieve victory over violence. Faith in the supreme power GOD is required. Above all, we need to know the meaning of God and its existence.Human must understand and feel the power the positive energy which floats around them and try to absorb it. We think that God is present in different forms and we start distinguishing him with the help of the religions. Why don’t we understand there is only one supreme power the Almighty GOD and we all worship to the same god in different ways.
We go to holy places not to worship the stones placed their but the God inside it. To walk on the path of nonviolence strewn with stones one has to have a living faith in God.We should also know that Prayer is the food of soul in the same way as vegetables and fruits are the food of body. Having whole hearted faith in him only will lead you on the path of inner happiness. We all go to the holy places only to mark attendance in his home not for worshipping him.
Worship does not need any speech, it is in itself uninfluenced of any senses as per Gandhiji-“ It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart. We human beings have forgotten that religion and politics are two different things still we speak the language of politics in religion.A living example”In developing countries politicians misguide and mislead naive people on the basis of religion to win”. Truth..
? What is truth? It’s just the conformity to fact or actuality. As per M. K. Gandhi “Truth is like a vast tree, which yields more and more fruit the more you nurture it.
The deeper the search in the mine of truth the richer the discovery of the gems buried there, in the shape of openings for an even greater variety of service.Gandhiji wants us to have a vision of truth, so that we can realize where we stand in comparison to humanity and accordingly define and decide our path towards truth. We need to look in ourselves in our hearts because it is the place where truth resides and search for it. The biggest Truth of life is We all are afraid of truth in our daily life we run away from it due to which we are unable to see the beauty in truth which Gandhiji wants us to feel and visualize it.I think truth is very beautiful now doubt it gives pain in the beginning but during the course of time it rewards you in many ways.
Because once we accept this truth we will be on the path of self-realization. One more truth we need to know, the truth is God we should understand that he knows us and our hearts better than we do ourselves. He is the creator of universe and life on earth. He is omni-present and even stated by M. K. Gandhiji as “He is a personal God to those who need His personal presence.
He is embodied to those who need His touch. He is the purest essence. He simply is to those who have faith. He is all things to all men. He is in us and yet above and beyond us…” In the end I would like to conclude that Gandhian religion teaches us how to live life even in adverse situations when life seems to be impossible, because it brings a ray of hope to live life. It shows us how we can protect our self-respect without engaging ourselves in war and defeat violence with the help of non violence.
It teaches us to have immense faith in the Almighty God and be true to ourselves.
