The DISC Platinum Rule Assessment not only provide insight on who and what we are made of as individuals, but highlights out potentials and the talents we do have to offer companies or our current workplace.Individuals working in organizations should have a basic understanding of their own behavioral style developed since childhood. Each person has different genetic predispositions and life experiences that shape our values and morals. This affects the way we interact in our daily work, social, and family environments. The DISC Platinum Rule assessment is a tool that analyzes these behavioral styles. The assessment is broken into four main styles, dominance, interactive, steadiness, and cautious.
There currently are four subcategories of each style. Dominance has director, adventurer, producer, and pioneer. Interactive style has socialize, helper, impresser, and enthusiast. Steadiness is relater, specialist, go-getter, and harmonizer. Cautious subcategories include thinker, master-minder, assessor, and perfector.Team C had different working styles.
Dominance styles focus on goal orientation and sometimes bend the rules for the best results. Challenges are always welcomed and enjoy problem-solving as well as accepting authority. Challenging others thinking or outdated thinking is quite common. The style is people-oriented and carries a relaxed approachable disposition, and excellent team players. They can tolerate unpleasant situations and accept change after thinking it through and maintain balance and composure. Dominance styles share and delegate responsibilities in a friendly and courteous manner and have a tendency to plan objectives out.
The cautious style has a tendency toward perfectionism and working slow and precise in an environment with a dislike of surprises and disorganization. They prefer to do detailed and precision work and rely greatly on data. The strengths of the cautious profile show a dependable, accurate, and systematic personality that sticks to the deadlines. The steadiness style is people-oriented and prefers balance and stability over risk.
They are slow at decision-making and have a relaxed disposition. The Steadiness styles are excellent listeners and tend to be supportive and nurturing, making them loyal workers. Their style of short-term planning enables users to give projects undivided attention. Each type of style has its strengths and weaknesses. Although dominances strengths include leadership and quick decision making abilities, its weaknesses stem from stubbornness, toughness, and impatience. The cautious style strengths trend toward very detailed-oriented work, which can slow progress pertaining to perfectionism and dislike of lack of control within group projects.
The steadiness styles are eager to dive into competitive work, but if the projects are long and complex they lose focus and have trouble dealing with risks. The team found the results of their assessment to be mostly accurate. The assessment is a general overview of human behavior so there were some discrepancies when it was applied to each individual.
