If a person is truly guilty of a crime worth the death penalty with solid proof then, should the punishment be executed right away with no appeals allowed. It is true that death penalty has some terrible risk like false accusations, where an innocent life is lost, however it should still be permitted because the guilty deserve a severe punishment.
It saves us money, and makes society a safer place to live which gives peace of mind to all the civilians. The death penalty has risks like false accusations; where an innocent person is falsely accused. If this person was given the death penalty, then tragically an innocent life has been lost. There are also arguments stating that death is too good for the worst criminals. “Let them wake up and go to bed every day of their lives in a prison cell.
” Many also argue that killing someone is morally wrong and death penalty should not be permitted. However even though there is some truth to these arguments, allowing death penalty will definitely be better for society then not having it.Though false accusation is a bad, its still a better than risking not giving the death penalty to those who are proven guilty. If we let the villain go then and the innocent will have suffer for it! Ted Bundy an american serial killer, rapist, kidnapper, and necrophile who admitted to his crimes right before his death sentence, assaulted and murdered numerous young women and girls starting from the 1970s and possibly earlier. After more than a decade of denials and trails against his crime, all he got was time in prison, which he was bailed out of once by his parents, and escaped many of the other times.
After he escaped he continued on with his sick crimes; he decapitated at least 12 of his victims and kept some of the severed heads in his apartment, on a few occasions, he simply broke into dwellings at night and bludgeoned victims as they slept. This continued for a while around various places, until he received the death penalty( TED BUNDY BIOGRAPHY 1) The things he has done are inhuman, yet he was only officially sentence to a death penalty after 30 or more victims! If the he was given death before, then those 20 or more girls wouldn't have had to suffer rape, being beaten intensely, killed and have their dead bodies violated over and over again! Sure the risk of false accusations is bad, but the the risk in not punishing a criminal who really deserves is way worse and can cost even more lives! Not only is letting the criminal go a higher risk but the rate of false accusations isn't all that high either. Example of the 100 rapes reported, 2 are false accusations. (Kimberly lonsway 2) thats only 2%.Beside the solution for false accusations should not be stopping the death penalty, but having police and detectives do their job properly. Arguments stating that death is too good for the worst criminals may be right on, however we should not risk letting the criminals live and bring danger the civilians.
Basically permitting death penalty will make our society safer but having less criminals which result in less victims. Why should we waste the hard earned money of civilians by keeping criminals in prison? When someone commits a felony, that should get the chair which will save money, time, space and resources. All the morons in prison are useless to society anyway, yet they seem to get better treatment than hardworking honest people. According to a government official website There are a variety of different courses available for prisoners including basic skills,International Computer Driving Licence, open learning, art and culinary. Prisoners are are provided with the opportunity to learn, english, math, computer skills, art skills, and much more! They even have tutors.
This is just the education stuff they are offered, they have fancy things air conditioning and etc too. (Education/training prison offers).Last time I checked prisoners committed a crime, so why are they offered all these things? , most schools don't even have it that good! Even the worst criminals that deserve death are being fed by the civilian’s money. Our taxes are spending way too much on these useless scum that does more harm then good. Death penalty should definitely be permitted because it cost less than life imprisonment and murders deserve death not luxury! Many opposing argument states non valid reason why the death penalty should not be permitted. They question the morality of death penalty, in other words they cite religious reasons why the death penalty is no good.
For example many christians state the bible as evidence to why death penalty should not be permitted, saying things like jesus taught forgivers to forgive "But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. " (Bob Enyart 1 ) Firstly using the bible and christianity to oppose the death penalty is inexcusable because thats favoring one religion over another and we all have different belief system so it wouldn't be fair. Using mortality as an excuse is subjective opinion and one could easily argue their way back with there own morals. For example many support death penalty because they believe in the quote “an eye for an eye”. If you kill someone without good reason then you deserve to be killed to, whatever you do to them should be done to you.
Not only is this fair but it will help grieving families move on knowing that the murder has been sentence to death. Think about it, if your loved one was murdered by a psycho, could you forgive him, could you go on knowing that he’s still alive?! I doubt it! you’d most likely want that person dead because death is what he deserves.Morals has nothing to do with it, its simple logic. In conclusion though false accusation is a bad but, its still a better than us risking not giving death penalty to those who are proven guilty.
The death penalty will result in less victim. Also Life imprisonment cost to much so sending murders to to death straight will save money, time and space. Not to mention many arguments against death penalty is invalid because it brings in religions which is not fair because not everyone has the same beliefs. Therefore its a better decision to permit the death penalty than to not permit it.
