Senator Obama is named after his father; Barack Obama, Sr. His father came from Kenya, Africa. Obama’s parents met at Hawaii University, but they later divorced; when Obama was 2 years old. His mother, who was originally from Kansas, remarried an Indonesian student. Obama spent four years of his life in Jakarta, (Indonesia) until he was 10.

Later, he then moved back to Hawaii and lived with his Grandparents. Obama graduated from high school in 1979. He continued his education at Occidental College.He majored in political science specializing in international relation at Columbia University graduating in 1983. In 1985, Obama moved to Chicago to serve in community in a poor neighborhood.

During this project, Obama worked together with church to rescue poor neighborhoods in improving their lives. The project succeeded and went to attend Harvard Law School in 1988. At Harvard he became President of Harvard Law Review. After receiving his JD degree in 1991, he married in 1992. He retuned to Chicago to practicing as civil right lawyer, together with Miner, Barnhill & Galland from 1993 to 1996.

He also taught constitutional law in University of Chicago Law School for sometime. Soon after he ran for Illinois State Senate. He was elected to the US Senate which made him the third African American candidate since Reconstruction. He is also an author and he has two best-selling books: “Dreams from My Father (a memoir)” and “The Audacity of Hope”. He is now one of strong Democrats candidates for 2008 U. S.

Obama believes that America will be ready for Universal Healthcare by 2012. He also proposed an affordable healthcare that would help in saving US$2500 per year, and subsidy for the poor Americans.

He also initiated electronic system implementation for medical claims and sponsored legislation over hospital service reports. He has participated in various bills.He had co-sponsored 427 bills between 2005 and 2006 for the nations. One of them is "Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act", that was introduced by Sen. John McCain.

The disciplinary education in the academy, however, did not affected McCain’s temper, which often led him into crisis, which was also perhaps one of the reasons that he poorly graduated in 1958. He became navy pilot and married in 1965 adopting his wife’s two children. McCain volunteered in Vietnam. He was captured during a mission; when his plane was shot resulting in excessive injuries.The next five and half years, he spent in a prison; where it is believed he refused cooperation with his captives, especially when the captives came to know he was son of an Admiral. He was finally released in 1973 along with other prisoners.

. McCain came back wining various medals including Silver Star, Bronze Star, Legion of Merit, Purple Heart, and the Distinguished Flying Cross. After prolong stay in prison, McCain went for nine months therapy. The life was quite unpleasant for him that led to divorce in 1980.Soon he found a new partner and he married Cindy Lou Hensley, the daughter of a prosperous Arizona beer distributor. After retiring from navy, he moved to Arizona to start his new career.

He did not took a long time to reach the promising position; as he was soon elected as a Senator. McCain supported Bush in 2004 presidential election, however he did not give a blind cheque to the president. He has his disagreement with the establishment. For example, he disagreed with the president’s support of same-sex.
