Nowadays, there has been a lot of talk about the advantages and disadvantages of living abroad. Since the problem of living in a foreign country has many cons; namely, people get homesick, especially once they live alone. However, living abroad has a lot of good effects; for instance, making people more depending on themselves as well learning a new culture. A major advantages of living abroad is making people more depending on themselves as well helping them to learn a new culture.
In fact, a lot of students are used to rely on their parents doing the housework, on the other hand, they become more independent as well as they have to carry out all this works on their own. Additionally, living away makes people more dependent on themselves to deal with problems; in particular, renting an apartment as well as paying school expenses. Besides, living out of the country helps people to get to know a new culture. Once people meet a friend from different culture, they will get more knowledge about other country customs, so they will have more life experiences to deal with people from another culture. Moreover, not only does living abroad bring benefits but it also has drawbacks.
Homesickness is a serious problem for many people who live abroad. Indeed, a lot of old people can adjust themselves easily with the life abroad. However, adolescent find many difficulties to adapt themselves with the life there. Additionally, a lot of students undergo lack of focus on studying once they remind of their families at home; for instance, at holidays. What's more, they will find more difficulties once they live there without their relatives, specifically, people who have never lived far from their parents.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that people need to spend part of their lives away from their country, so they can learn to be independent, get to know a different culture, and learn how to deal with people with a different cultural background. Furthermore, people who live abroad should make a lot of friends to feel less homesick.
