Background of the Study Technology advances as it changes through the times. However, despite this advancement in technology, Ding-Dong Hardware in Gala, Agrarians Province still uses the manual process in their inventory.
The Ding-Dong Hardware finds it hard; hence, the database of a systematic inventory was conceived. The researcher conducted Interviews and surveys In developing a database computerized Inventory system. Using the System Development Life Cycle (OSDL) Method, this Ding-DongHardware Computerized Inventory System was successfully attained. It could generate the derived data that would greatly help the personnel in preparing inventory and to speed up the process.
Objectives of the Study Generally, this study aimed to create a database system for the Ding-Dong Hardware in Balcony, Gala, Agrarians Province. Specifically, this was geared to: 1. Lessen the time spent In preparing Inventory; 2. Ensured hardware records of data and information: and 3. Improve track of information about the business status.
Significance of the Study The study was conceptualized to solve problems occurring in preparing inventory (daily, monthly and yearly inventory), keeping records of information and in keeping track of the business status In Ding-Dong Hardware In Gala, Agrarians Province. The researcher computerized the manual process to provide assistance to the personnel in charge of generating, regulating and ensuring data and record with lesser time and effort. Scope and Delimitation The researcher conducted this study in Ding-Dong Hardware in Gala, Agrarians Province. It mainly focused on the product inventory and handling of records. It could generate report and provide an organized, secured records, and accurate reports. In Its operational functions, only the manager and cashier can update the current files inventory operational Deflection of Terms Cashier- A person responsible for receiving payments for goods and services Coding - refers to the transforming data and logic from design specification into a programming language.
Computer - Is an electronic programmable device which can store, process and thrive data.Computerized - Is an organized collection of data for one or more purposes In digital form. Computerized Inventory System - the system comprises central computerized database.
Hardware - Instrumentalities (tools or implements) made of metal Inventory- A detailed list of all the items in stock Manager -Someone who controls resources and expenditures Program - a list of instructions, written in a programming language tells the computer what to do. Personnel - Group of people willing to obey orders System - Is a computerized program. Figure 1:Computerized OSDL Manual Manual System In this process, the personnel in-charge performs manual inventory of products in Ding-Dong Hardware. This involves reconsidering of every transaction specifically on sold products and remaining products.
OSDL This shows the conversion of a manual operation into a computerized system. This process involved the System Development Life Cycle (OSDL). This consists of the Planning Phase, Analysis Phase, Design Phase, Development Phase, and Implementation Phase. The researcher utilized the process of OSDL to develop the duty.
Computerized System Involving the OSDL process, the computerized scheduling system was made. Transactions for schedules per request were achieved in lesser time and effort reducing the burden on the part of the personnel in-charge Chapter In doing and completing this study, " Ding-Dong Hardware Computerized Inventory System " the researcher collected information through other research studies such as the in . The data gathered served as one of the components in creating a database unauthorized scheduling system in Ding-Dong Hardware in Gala, Agrarians Province.Methodology deals how a system is conceptualized and developed using the System Development Life Cycle (OSDL).
In this study, the researcher went through the planning phase which deals with the identification of the problem and title development; analysis phase that involves the formation of the flow of the system; development phase that involves the coding of the program, debugging and testing; and implementation phase of the system where it was designed to be installed or be used.
