Coinbase Raises $75M from DFJ Growth, USAA and NYSECoinbase announced it has raised $75 million in Series C financing, the largest funding round to date for a Bitcoin company. This brings the total capital raised to $106 million. The round was led by DFJ Growth, with participation from our existing investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Union Square Ventures, and Ribbit Capital. The round was led by DFJ, with participation from existing firms like a16z and Union Square Ventures, along with a number of new and existing individual and institutional investors. With this new round, Coinbase is excited to count some of the most respected financial institutions in the world as investors, with The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), USAA and BBVA all participating.
This participation further legitimizes Bitcoin within the established financial sector, and Coinbase is looking forward to a big year ahead.
