Adam Tepper, CEO of Austrailia-based bitcoin exchange Independent Reserve has died in Thailand.
Reports inform that he was in a motorcycle crash.Thirty four years old Adam Tepper was a Melbourne resident. He was from Langwarrin. He went to Thailand for a vacation and never returned home. The Phuket Gazette reported that his body was found in Wiset Road’s Sai Yuan Junction, under a wrecked traffic sign.
The motorcycle which he was riding, however, was around 30 meters away from the body. Mr. Tepper killed in an accident when his motorbike slammed into the back of a trailer, which was parked in the middle of the city.DFAT is offering consular assistance to Mr.
Tepper’s family. Dianna Tepper, the victim’s dejected mother, mentioned that when the fatal accident took placem he was not wearing a safety helmet.She urged everyone to always wear a helmet. She said, “Please don’t ever get on a motorbike without a helmet.
If it saves one life, I’m happy.”Captain Thada Sodarak of Chalong Police confirmed the information. He said, “Mr Tepper was not wearing a helmet and struck his head on the sign — he died instantly.I believe he was moving very fast at the time of the crash, as part of the sign pole was buried a metre underground, and it was pulled out by the impact.
” The local police confirmed that he died because of the crash’s impact.In Phuket, Mr. Tepper became member of The Ao Chalong Yacht Club. The club posted a tribute message on their Facebook page and website earlier today.The message said, “Long-standing and active ACYC member, Adam Tepper, was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in the early hours of Friday 27 February.We will miss him both at the yacht club bar and out on the water.
For those who want to raise a glass or two to Adam, there will be a wake at the club at 6pm Sunday 1 March.”Adam Tepper was best known as the CEO of Independent Reserve, which was founded in 2013 in Sydney. The firm’s mission is to transform crypto currency technology into secure, robust and regulated financial services. It stressed to do it the right way.
He had a Bachelor of Science from Swinburne University, Melbourne. On his company site, Mr. Tepper is described as a keen motor-sport enthusiast.He took part in the Finke Desert Race every year. It also says that Adam enjoys outdoors activities including off-roading, trail riding, camping and sailing.
Mr. Tepper founded a Sydney based IT consultancy before Independent Reserve.
